Hey guys, could you give me any hint as to how to find if a number is even or odd in assembly language, mainly MIPS. I have to write a code that calculates Pi using floating point registers and my code would work 100% if I just knew how to make the conditions right for even or odd values. I was thinking of doing division and subtracting the number divided by the result but idk.

local Best Buy apparently has an open box epidemic so they took 20% off all the open boxes in addition to the already discounted open box price. I got talking about cars with a manager and he used a scratch on the underside of the otherwise pristine laptop to justify lowering the condition in the pricing system as low as it would go and made it cheap as fuck. Yeah, pretty much. I run Linux on my laptop and server, but my desktop PC is on Windows because I use it to play video games every now and then.
I'll probably switch to Linux on my desktop PC eventually, but as of right now I don't have a second GPU to give to a VM, so it'll be a while before I do that.

Games and convenience of knowing 95% of good programs written work natively on my system and will easily install. Also lots of deserved stigma associated with other OS systems such as arrogance or trying too hard to be different.
I like having my OS made in one consistent fashion rather than having to download a bunch of amateur programmers' side-projects for essential features that comes stock on a proper desktop OS.

Forgot adapter pic. I have a coaxial cable and this adapter here, but a lot of the very technical forums are extremely confusing so my research is getting nowhere.
I need some help with sed. I have a txt file with some sample json data (https://github.com/jmportilla/Reddit-Data-Science-Project/blob/master/my_sample). I want to use sed to find the word "roster" (line 82 in the data set), then locate the author name (in this case "Dmagers") and output it to a file output.text, then jump to the next line and continue looking for more instances of the word "roster" and repeat the above (locate and write out author name) until it reaches the end.
If I run the following in a terminal:
cat /home/fsl/Desktop/data.txt|sed '/body":.*roster[&"]*/!d;s/.*name":"\([^"]*\).*/\1/
I get the error "sed: No Match" despite "roster" being there in line 82 in the data set. Can anyone help me figure out why it isn't working?
