I bought a Note 2 in Novermber 2013 and used it for 25 months, almost always at 50% brightness for around 5-6 hours SoT per day. I always kept it at 280DPI, and for the last two months, there was some slight burn-in. The status bar area was brighter when the screen brightness was at minimum with a grey background. There was darker dots where the first two notifications and clock would be. It wasn't that bad and if the Galaxy Alpha was better I would've bought it over my Z3 Compact.
I don't know how you guys are managing to get burn ins that quick.
Pic related is a Galaxy S2, used since release. The burn was impossible to see unless I turned off all lights, covered windows, etc.

I'd like to use DroidCam with the flash on, but the app doesn't have a flash function. So I'm trying to find some app that turns the flash on so I can open DroidCam after that with the flash still on. Most apps instantly turns off the flash when you close them.
The built in one on the s4 works outside of the app.

No. The LED flash is connected to the camera, and takes exclusivity. If the LED is being used for app A, app A is technically using the camera. You cannot use the camera in two places at once.
Apple as a company isn't really known for the best software, but IMO they have a few apps that aren't bad for the money. In no particular order:

Though I still use Chrome as my main browser, that's pretty much only because it has more features and extensions. Safari (IMO) is the best browser in terms of displaying web content the way the designer intended it to be displayed. I still find that Chrome often fails to show page elements that I see in Safari. I forget what it is called, but my friend told me about an app that they have that allows people to connect their Iphones between toilet stalls in public restrooms and make new friends without having to rub feet or other signals. I think this is a good thing for the apple crowd. It makes it easier for the rest of us to use the facilities as well.
