Pretty smart.

This. I would actually be pretty happy to have these "polls" if they let me optimize my marketing. Of course they would have bigger marketing problems than my company...

My mistake. Mine was around $50 when I bought it last year, must have been on sale. Go with the deathadder then, it's a great mouse.

It's almost the year 2016.

Why aren't you running Windows 10 yet?

Even Microsoft will be pulling the plug on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 and kill them off next year in November 2016.

Worrying/Fretting over Windows 10 being a botnet/spyware is basically pointless if you've nothing to hide unless your tinfoil hat is on too tight which is most of /g/ when it comes to Windows 10.

Linux is still shit and hasn't surpassed Windows nor has it overthrown it either. Linux still hasn't brought anything of significance to the table yet. The year of the Linux desktop will never come.

What's your excuse this time, /g/?

Until someone exploit it to get credit card numbers or if someone is embarrased by the porn they use. Linux is way better than Windows, I only use it at work because I must.

How do you make it so that when someone clicks a link the next page holds information from a database for that link clicked on node? For example, if I have a database of products and an inventory page listing the product names, how do I make it so that when someone clicks on a product it loads a product details page that shows all the information relevant to that product?

I just started learning Node.js, but I know you'll need Express.js for that.

but it isn't. Its being made by microsoft, which apparently can't hurry up and die fast enough. Pricing themselves out of their own market. I don't get it anymore. I saw one of these in their own store and thought the price tag had an extra digit in it.

Help an Anon out with these questions, and test your knowledge

> What are the different WiFi standards currently?
> How many access points are needed for a 10,000 sq. ft. office?
>Name a few WLAN manufacturers who are leaders in the WiFi industry
I am guessing Texas instruments and qualcomm
>How do you determine the number of access points needed in an office?

True or False
>OSI model stands for Optical static interference
>OSI is a standard for different manufactures
>OSI from top to bottom Application, Physical, Streaming, technical, network, data, presentation

>Routers forwards data packets along networks
>A router is connected to at least two networks, two LAN or WANs or a LAN and its ISP's network
>A router operates in the Network layer or layer 3 of the OSI model.
>A router provides ACL's to firewalls to interconnect ISP's and home users.

>A switch works in the Data layer or Layer 2 of the OSI model.
>A switch turns on and off similar to a light bulb to provide electricity to computers.
>A switch runs firewall protective functions on the LAN via L2.

> How many access points are needed for a 10,000 sq. ft. office?
This is a marketing question. Depends who you ask. I use 1500-2000 sq feet. Say 5-6.
>Name a few WLAN manufacturers who are leaders in the WiFi industry
WLAN manufacturers? Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, HP, Meraki, Aerohive, Ubiquiti. Radios and chipsets vary, Atheros and Realtek mostly.
>How do you determine the number of access points needed in an office?
Wireless site survey is the real answer, but they might tell you something dumb like square footage

True or False
>OSI model stands for Optical static interference
False
>OSI is a standard for different manufactures
OSI isn't a standard? Its an abstraction?
>OSI from top to bottom Application, Physical, Streaming, technical, network,
No? You're using the garbage OSI model anyway. You want: Physical, data/link, network, then layers 4-7 (spoken like a true engineer)

>Routers forwards data packets along networks
Routers route packets. Switches forward. This is likely true, but I'm pedantic and your class is dumb.
>A router is connected to at least two networks, two LAN or WANs or a LAN and its ISP's network.
I mean, it can be. So true?
>A router operates in the Network layer or layer 3 of the OSI model.
This is true.
>A router provides ACL's to firewalls to interconnect ISP's and home users.
What.... I mean, a router can have ACLs implemented on it but this question is worded so bizarrely I'm going to go with false.

>A switch works in the Data layer or Layer 2 of the OSI model.
True
>A switch turns on and off similar to a light bulb to provide electricity to computers.
False
>A switch runs firewall protective functions on the LAN via L2.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... that would be VLANs? False?
>A switch connects hosts to the LAN network
True
>What is the difference between an L2 switch and an L3 switch
An L3 switch is capable of reading packet headers and performing limited routing table lookups.

I have an fx 8350 and gtx 760 (no oc) and I want to get a new gpu and give the old one to my cousin. I don't know what gpu I should get that runs good with fallout 4 (55+ fps atleast wherever I go) and other new games. I think the cpu is good, but if a lot of people think I should change that too I will consider. Thanks for any suggestions.
