I want to go beyond those dumb college code monkey students from some nigger college.

What is a DAW?
Digital
Audio
Workstation

>What DAW is yours?

>How long you been on it?

>How long have you been into music?

>What genre do you play with the most?

>What Genre do you think you are best at?

>Have you thought about changing up to something else?

>What's your favorite synth, no matter how dumb it is?

>Do you see yourself doing this way later on even if you get no where?

>What is your technical question and/or pointers?

Bonus points:

>What is the best cheese?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>this is /g/ not /mu/ gtfo

We do not talk about the music as it is but how it's created and what we use
and how to help others get better

1 simple rule I hope you can guys do, please don't be assholes to those who
have a different perspective on another DAW, no matter what it is or how shitty
it is. I know there are some very laughable ones out there but ya know...
So please just be as helpful as you can.

Links and info:
For the sake of work, you are allowed to use a name. Just don't
make yourself look like a dumb ass and make me regret saying
that.

If you need help, you can use Clyp.it if you wish to stay anon.

So my little brother just got through washing his Nintendo 3DS.

I kinda told him that it was waterproof and that he should clean it every now and again, because I wasn't in a particularly good mood at the time. I didn't think he was stupid enough to do it, and I especially didn't think he respected me enough to believe me.

Are there any kind of tactics to save devices like this from water damage?

>Microsoft still makes and sells 32-bit versions of Windows
>many consumer Linux distributions still offer 32-bit versions on their website

When will 32-bit finally die? Apple killed off 32-bit support back in October 2012 when they released OS X Lion, which was exclusively 64-bit, and iOS is making that transition now beginning with iOS 7 and the 64-bit iPhone 5s.

The vast majority of computers being sold today, even the cheapest computers like the $35 Raspberry Pi 3 are 64-bit. When will the rest of the industry join Apple and finally cut down that outdated technology for good? It's time.

I doubt that, I think you are vastly under estimating the embedded market.
I doubt my microwave is 64 bit, nor my technodildo.

One of the pathologists I work with (I work at a cancer lab) recently suggested I invest in a digital voice recorder to help with my studying since I'm back in school to become a histotechnologist.

What does /g/ recommend for such a task?

What's wrong with using your phone or laptop? OneNote and basically any note-taking app literally has a record button you can use

970 Ti sample spotted on pcmark

should it be a first showing of pascal?

The first maxwell card to hit the market was actually a 700 series.

maybe nvidia releasing a cut down pascal that *almost* beats a 980 but not quite, with an actual full 4gb of vram?

How do you know?

I'm looking into upgrading to 32GB of ram. Do you think it's acceptable to settle for a CAS 11 if I'm going to run at 2133mhz?

I have CAS8 2133mhz modules, but I paid extra for it.

Don't get it unless you need it. Keep in mind if you're overclocking your CPU then maxing out your RAM capacity at higher speeds can mess with stability.

Whats the lowest possible price for a decent home/LAMP server? I was able to throw together a few builds online for $150-$250. Plan on hosting a simple file upload snd download website. Might try dumpster diving at my local college's computer science building to see if theres anything good.

Also, no case or bench needed

you could use an old smart phone for a LAMP server if you are really trying to save money.
