Floens made a comment 17 hours ago about his appeals and this is what it said:

"I have an update on the appeal. It was denied but they gave me some valuable feedback (or, the issue was just what I thought.)

See as requested in#124and added in22ace00I added in two new default boards and shuffled all of them so that /g/ wasn't always at the top. Clover requires hardcoding some boards because otherwise the board list is empty while Clover is waiting for the api response. This is only done when you launch Clover for the first time. So after that update instead of always having the following order: /g/, /v/, /a/, /co/, /int/, it randomized the order of these 7: /g/, /v/, /a/, /co/, /int/, /sp/, /tv/.

Clover automatically loads the first board in the board list on startup. Instead of always presenting /g/ first it presented one of these /g/, /v/, /a/, /co/, /int/, /sp/, /tv/ (because it was now shuffled). Now I did not put much thought in it, but /a/ isn't the most sfw board there is, even when it's a blue board. So there was a 1 in 7 change of /a/ winding up at the top of the board list and getting automatically loaded. And that was when the fun started. After uploading a new beta version this was probably the case and Clover got suspended. They denied my appeal with the following reason: "Your app depicts images of anime characters in sexually suggestive poses which is considered sexually explicit content." So /a/ was indeed the culprit.

Clover now has more safe boards as default and doesn't automatically add any boards anymore. /a/ and some other boards are now marked as a nsfw boards, so you won't even see a drop down for it."

"Now you could say that every browser or reddit app should also be banned from the Play Store because you can browse nsfw material with them. But the problem is that Clover presented /a/ without any searching for nsfw material. It's fine if you make the user search for nsfw material if they know the url/board code/subreddit name, but don't present it without any action.

Even Google Play recommends just uploading a new version with another package name and that's what I'm going to do. It's a shame that I can't update the 260k current users to the new version, but I hope the word will spread of the new package name. I'll give another update when I've uploaded it."

I've used Windows all my life. Today, I suddenly became enlightened. I realized that it must stop. My life doesn't need this pain.

It's 2016. What OS would you say is the best right now and for the future? I've looked at Ubuntu and it looks sweet. But the rest of the OS jungle confuses me.

It serves no benefit other services that are offline can provide, and it encourages users to recklessly post their personal information online which is a major privacy and security risk. Then of course it sells are said information. There are no net positives to it.

Why hasn't technology been able to fix this problem yet?

I walk around my city very often and I see people texting/staring right at their cellphones while driving all the time. It's mainly young female, and very scarey that these people are even allowed to have a license.

Why hasn't there been any solution to this? Even built in jammers would work.

Do you view a fingerprint scanner as a positive or a negative when buying a phone?

Will they become the next standard feature?

I bought a nexus 5x with a fingerprint scanner on the back
Very nice, I wouldn't even bother buying a phone without one
That instant unlock when you pick your phone up is so good
I wouldn't buy an iPhone with one since it would record your prints
>>
One of the best features to come out in the last few years, I prefer having my phone locked with a fingerprint than using a patron or letters with numbers.
>>
>>52643964
Because mother Google doesn't save your prints on their servers for later use

I see non JEDEC DDR3 RAM for like next to nothing on Chinese sites

Shit wont work on Intel but for AMD it usually does and you can get it for less than half the cost.
>>
>>52643894
It can still be cheaper to buy plain, green ram.
Besides, green looks nice.

Ok so heres the deal.

I've got a Radeon 6950 right now. Been getting real sick of AMD and their drivers. I've got an ideal budget of 350 CAD (250 USD), but can go up to 400.

I can order on Amazon.ca/com. I have the potential opportunity to pick up a GTX 970 for 350. Should I wait for the R9 390 to go on sale, or jump on the 970?

Also, anyone with experience with either of these cards? I've heard of the 970 memory issues, but don't see it being a problem since I only have 2gbs right now.

970 is a good card. a lot of people here will call it a meme card but i wouldnt worry, it's served me well
>>
>>52643625
That's what I figured as well. I'm also pretty impressed with the power consumption. The 390 is more than double.
>>
>>52643682

The 390 is a power hog, but damn they can be quiet. A water loop can make more noise.

Le iPhone is the best phone because it objectively is more efficient than android since the programs are not running inside a virtual machine. Application developers can utilise a standard set of hardware, providing a uniform experience for every user, not just ones with slightly better or worse hardware.

Objective C and Swift compile to byte code and run on the hardware. The user interface is hardware accelerated and runs at a high priority level ensuring no lag.

The iPhone 5s is still a solid phone in 2016, gets all the iOS updates (unlike many Android phones only purchased a few years ago), retains its resale value, and will be supported well into 2017, if not longer.

The iPhone 5s has a 64 bit processor, enabling it to potentially be support future iOS versions for longer than it's predecessors, and the hardware capabilities are and built in's are solid for a phone of this calibre.

Oh, and iPhones have the best camera software of any phone, with no ads.
