I am basically set on this as my first home server. I need to know once I stick 3 hard drives in there what the power draw will be roughly. I can't afford to jack up the price on hydro. Also will I need a RAID controller with this?
Also Home Server Builds welcome.
Server in question: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/HP-DL380-G6-2U-Server-1x-Intel-Xeon-QuadCore-E5520-2-26GHz-8GB-DDR3-P410i-/201507915345?hash=item2eeacec651:g:23kAAOSwqYBWmVJD

I would guess around 150 watt in idle with 2/4 drives.
Generally rack servers = high power consumption. Not really something you should be looking for if your aiming for low power consumption unless you gut the internals and stick low-power components in.
HDD drives are around ~5-10W each idle depending on the product. Check reviews.

People always say that Android was fixed at jellybean but this shit still happens! I've had the entire note line and everyone one of them has lagged after a few months.
Now before you talk about closing apps. Why don't I need to do that on iPhone and whats the point of 3gb of ram?
>>52650952
Shit programming.
Remember that Apple tests every app submitted and they reject them if the most minimum bit of lag is found.
>>52650952
I'm not sure your premise (that all Android phones lag) is true. Can you prove this?
It still uses a Java VM, and since app "programmers" can't into memory managment Google can't change it.

Does an ATX-SATA cable exist, or do I need to get an ATX-Molex, then connect a Molex-SATA to that?
I'd rather avoid cable clutter, but it seems a one-cable solution doesn't exist.

FP is the future
Why haven't you learned Haskell yet?
>>52650004
sticking to one paradigm is nonsense.
Use what is best in each situation.
Document your choices.
>>52650004
Explain FP and why it's the future, please
>>52650032
This desu senpai. There's good stuff and bad stuff in all the modern paradigms, and they all have their ideal use case. FP is great, but it's not the silver bullet people make it out to be.
>>52650345
Not OP, but FP is often regarded as the future because our hardware is now multicore and often distributed because muh cloud. In OOP and most other paradigms, the state of the program changes as it runs, and depending on when you run a part of the program, it might do something completely different from what you expected. This is bad when you've got multiple processes happening at once.
FP is a stateless paradigm for code reuse, thus lending itself very well to multicore and distributed systems. You don't have to worry about when a given piece of code is going to run because in FP, it will work the same no matter when you run it.

Does anyone actually use OOP unironically?
Why would I ever want objects for storing data when I can just create a multidimensional array?

>>52649444
>Why would I ever want objects for storing data when I can just create a multidimensional array?
Not using pointers + offsets
>>52649444
You can do OOP and not use classes for every thing! You don't have to create a class that extends array or object, come on! Don't be a dumbass, don't go too far into the meme
>>52649444
Multidimensional why?
Why not array of structs

Please help, why my code isn't working? Trying to make a sticky header when I scroll down
http://codepen.io/anon/pen/RrMOmW
It's probably something stupid, I'm checking the variable values on the console and they're undefined for some reason.
>>52646227
I "fixed" the variables problem being undefined, removing the global $(function(){}) does the trick for some reason, but I still am not getting the nav to stick to the top when I scroll down, and I just checked the height method ,it only calculates height of the header once when the page is loaded, but I guess that can be fixed by making it do the calculation every time I resize the window.
