I hate iPhones mainly because of the pricing, it frustrates me that people wouldn't get a better phone for less money. But nowadays I just live and let live, I can happily change my Android phone to something better each year and barely spend 50pounds if that, where as iFags will lose at least 200 a year if they're lucky. I run Arch Linux on my ThinkPad and I use remote desktop to my company's RDS server for anything I need to do on Windows.
One downside is that the latest edition of Server is still based on Windows 8, so you're stuck with that.
Although if you're only going to be using it locally, the 2016 preview should do fine.
The license is also significantly more expensive for server, and Microsoft likes to fuck you up the ass when they find out you're using unlicensed enterprise software.
