Can someone recommend a good USB DAC to pair with Sennheiser HD 598? Preferably under $100. Can go up to $150 if it makes a big difference. Thanks for any help.

Are you still using/emulating the Amiga?
what's "Amiga"? is it a linux DE?
>>51618241
"Amiga" is a very high mountain near the Missisipippi.
I want to but I keep forgetting and then go and read stuff about developing and network infrastructure
It was mostly about the amazing Amiga games for me anyway

I don't think so as they can only run on the specific app. The rise of cordova however puts a timer on how long the app train will last. I give it 10 years until it becomes like the Web and designers are all you really need.

Hey /g/, I'm looking to buy a new wallet that doesn't look like an NES controller because I'm a grown man.
I make most of my payments via card and I want to know if getting an RFID blocking wallet is justifiable or just paranoia.
Also any suggestions for a cheap wallet? I'd like some cash left over to put into it.
I told you what to get last time you asked this, you bastard.

I'm a different guy, sorry. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread comes up a lot.

What is the point of building high end computers if only to program on some variant of gnu + linux?
Isn't gnu + linux supposed to be lightweight? For a board of supposed programmers and linux enthusiasts, you sure are obsessed with spending extravagant amounts of money you will never put to use.
I mean Jesus, RMS uses some dusty 2005 garbage laptop because all he needs is emacs. Is it really all for gaming? Is /g/ /v/?
This is why /g/ needs to be split in two. Then we can have a board where we actually talk about technology and another board where then freekek open sores retards can jerk it to Stallman

>What is the point of building high end computers if only to program on some variant of gnu + linux?
I have 32GB of RAM and I start swapping if I run two builds from scratch in parallel.
Maybe you just work with shitty fizzbuzz tier software?

What should I be looking for in a solar USB charger?
Amperage/Wattage in comparison to the others.
>>51617738
from what i understand certain amperages are basically unusable. whats a good base amp to buy above?
how's the shelf life on these things anyways?
One that has really high mAh so you don't have to rely on sunlight.
Hey /g/ I need advice.
I'm looking for a cheap laptop that I can learn Linux on. Do I need more than 2 gigs of ram to be happy with my purchase?
Thinkpad x200.
No.
>2014+1
>running GNU LINUX
>ISHYGDDT
Get a used laptop, /g/ approved brand would be the Dell Latitude, XPS and Precision, HP Elitebook and IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad (series X,W or T)
After much part picking I came up with this list.

>inb4 paying for OS / Optical Drive
>inb4 too much RAM
I gotta do this legit because anti-piracy bigots will be around (business vidya related thing.) and they're gonna bitch / raise hell over a pirated version of Windows. So it's gotta be done non USB with a fucking disk. Whatev's.
Some mandatory parameters I'd like to include:
Must use Nvidia GPU, Intel CPU, i5 or higher, RAM must be G-Skill, ASUS Motherboard.
I've had shit experiences in the past with AMD, Radeon, and other brands of RAM. Same with motherboards. I ain't taking chances here.
Any way to make this build cheaper, but more powerful? I'm factoring in the cost of the monitor / keyboard / mouse into the budget. I'll be using $20 Sennheiser HD 201's for the sound. As far as having a mic goes it's not necessary. This PC is not for me.
Are all the parts compatible? I'd prefer Windows 7 over Windows 10 but you can convince me otherwise and I'll go for it. (The whole privacy concerns along with ease of use.)
Again, make sure to match the parameters. I've had some bad experiences with AMD / Radeon / any RAM that isn't G-Skill in the past and I won't be repeating a purchase with other brands.
I have it at 16gb of RAM because I've used 8 before and had it bottleneck due to Windows 7 reserving 2g leaving me only 6. Also it's cheap so why not?
Could use a bump.
I mean I can kinda make it if I can keep it under $1300 I suppose.
Bumpin'
$1000 for a rig, Not including Monitor/Peripherals
- +/- $50 is fine
- MiR's don't count towards the final price
- Shipping isn't counted
I think I would build pic related. My last three PC's were AMD/AMD So I would really like Intel this time. I would go with Nvidia just for the sake of change but they don't really have a comparable mid-range card around $230. I went with the AiO Corsair because I've had the 212+ on a few rig and while it works great its fucking huge and currently I cant even close the side panel on my Fractal Core 1000 Mid Tower because the copper nubs expand past the case opening, so essentially I went form over function though I have read people using it on OC'd skylake i5's with acceptable results.
I'm sure someone will call out some item and start a shitfest, when they do please just ignore it, If I actually had cash in hand I would put more research into every item and might make different decisions, but this is pretend land.
>ram way too expensive for only 16GB
>mobo way too expensive for your minute usage
>cheaping out a fucking lot on the GPU
>falling for the closed loop "watercooling" meme
>bronze PSU
Apply yourself, do the research, polite sage.
>>51617395
Doing this now, Looking for a ridiculous color scheme for the entire build might take a bit.
>>51617457
I know I shouldn't respond but its a DDR4 Board, $170 isnt "way to expensive" on a $1000 build.
Again, DDR4 Ram, its more expensive because its "new!" 16gb is around $100 from all manufacturers.
I wanted a cooler with a small footprint, watercooling works fine, falling for the "watercooling is a meme" meme
Had to make a sacrifice with the PSU to fit the budget but itll work just fine.
You do realize this whole thread is for fun right? I even used the words "Pretend land" at the end and you still had the need to respond like I was really purchasing all this.
lighten up boy
