My long time friend is being harrassed, threatened, and blackmailed via a fake facebook account to violate custody of her son. We think it is her ex-husband's sister; but wanted to obtain the IP address as evidence to take the the police. Can someone PLEASE help us if you have any information on how to do so? She's a real sweetheart and this has been eating at her to the point of not being able to sleep. Any help/advice on how to obtain this would be appreciated. You are bullshitting us. Having the IP does not mean anything from you as you have no way to correlate that IP with the user. If it is harassment let the police investigate and contact the ISP to correlate IP and current DHCP assignments for that ISP assuming that you or 'your real sweetheart' did a formal accusation against the ex. You have no dog in that fight.

I've just been wondering about something, /g/.
Basically, why don't Intel or AMD make CPUs with one or two HUGE cores to increase single threaded performance, and like 2-6 smaller cores for multithreaded performance?
From what I understand, adding more cores adds more performance per area, and is more power efficient, but doesn't scale well with linear workloads, which would benefit more from powerful cores.
What if they made a 6 core CPU, which half the die space dedicated to two primary cores, and the other half to 4 secondary cores?

I mean, it's a super simple idea. They probably already thought about it 10 or 15 years ago when they were developing the first multicore CPUs. I'd just like to know why it's not working/worth the effort.
The best idea I can come up with is that the cores they use are already the most powerful they can make at the time, and they just can't make any bigger cores than they already do.

I reached a stable overclock at ~4700mhz, but the temps I get reach ~63-65c and the cpu throttles to 1500mhz. NB temps are 70c~.
I'm using a corsair h105 with 4 fans in push/pull.
My mobo is the Crosshair IV formula, it only officially supports bulldozer (not pilediver) with a bios update but it seems to work with mine. Could this be the overheating issue?
What overlocks did you get with this and what temps on what boards?

I doubt it's overheating, at least on the cpu or NB. Those things are safe until you start pushing like 80 or so I believe. Could have to do with the bios stuff you're talking about.
One of my neighbors keeps screaming the most asinine shit into his radio, which is fine except it's been illegally amplified and is coming through desktop speakers. I'm not going to attach ferrite clips because I'm not convinced that will damp the signal enough, and I know I'm not the only one in the neighborhood who has to put up with this shit.
Does anyone know of a means of modification of a handheld radio, so that I can listen in on his frequency, figure out where he is, and take matters into my own hands? CB and HAM are pretty low freq, and normal...

It would be a very appley thing to do. 3.5mm jacks are thick and deep. And apple has never been one to support old technology when there is room for improvement.
