My father's workstation GPU just died and he needs a new one. He's just using it for AutoCAD 3d 2016. Old one was a quadro4000 and the CPU is a Xeon w3680.
I have no clue about workstation GPUs, so which should I buy? I don't really care about the brand.

How'd you come to this conclusion? I do know my shit, but workstations ain't it. I know that I shouldn't use a consumer card, but I explicitly asked about workstation GPUs.

I would just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Mint, is in fact, Ubuntu/Cinnamon, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Ubuntu plus Cinnamon. Mint is not a GNU/Linux distro unto itself, but rather adds another free component to a fully functioning GNU/Linux system made useful by the software normally shipped with a Ubuntu distro comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the Ubuntu distro every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Ubuntu which is widely used today is often called "Mint", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Ubuntu distro, developed by Canonical.
There really is a Mint, and these people are using it, but it just adds a part of the system they use. Mint comes with the Cinnamon desktop environment: the program in the system that helps the user work with the computer in an intuitive manner. The desktop environment is an essential part of a graphical operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Mint with Cinnamon was developed after a group of users was unhappy with the direction Ubuntu was heading with the introduction of Unity: the whole system is basically Ubuntu with Cinnamon added, or Ubuntu/Cinnamon.

I really like firefox, but I usually install chrome for other people. It's usually ahead in development., it actually bothers to put in a sandbox, everything's coded with it in mind these days, and it's very stable. Chrome's limited settings piss me off, but if a page doesn't load right in chrome, then you generally know the page is just busted
I'm trying again (yes I have an R9 390 series GPU) So I was just sitting browsing facebook with a youtube video playing in the background. And suddenly my pc screen turned black while the audio in the background looped. I couldn't do anything and the powerbutton didn't work so i just plugged it out. I haven't turned it on since and I'm wondering what might be wrong.

I want to ban a website from my hosts file.
Let's say I banned 4chan.org and boards.4chan.org
It bans these websites when I type them into my browser but when I type in boards.4chan.org/g it lets me in.
Why wouldn't it ban the entire website?

I've recently bought an RX480 and it seems that my PC is already fucked. First off I had problems installing the drivers and now my pc is turning on however it crashes before it boots to Windows.
How badly did I fucked up for trusting amd?
For the record my PSU is corsair tx750 so it's reliable.

Go get DDU (display driver uninstaller) from guru3d.com, boot in safemode and run the program, delete ALL gpu drivers, nvidia, amd and intel.
then boot windows normally and install the latest drivers.
TX is Corsairs shitend series btw. RM, HX and AX is quality.
