Here's my list
1) Close your browser tabs containing 4chan, newspages, facebook, reddit, whatever shitty irrelevant stuff you're not supposed to read or do
2) Get some coffee
3) Make a playlist (or follow a playlist) with "work music" (In my case it's basically electronica, house or chillout without any lyrics or too complicated rythms)
4) Put on headset to signal to others that you are busy and don't want to get disturbed
5) Get two monitors if you don't have it already... No seriously, use main one for code and second one for documentation, building, testing, running, whatever

So I've been looking at the 480, but I'm still holding back since I learned amd's still don't downclock to idle clocks when multiple monitors are hooked, getting higher idle temps and power consumption.
Now, all I do on my second screen is browsing and movie watching, and I know you can drive multiple monitors to dgpu and igpu separately. Could I get it to downclock properly if the second monitor is hooked to the igpu?

Yes you can. Did that with my r9 290 to not get 70w power consumption doing nothing. Enable multi-gpu in bios. Connect only one monitor or identical monitors to the gpu to not get fucked power consumption, the rest go to Intel integrated.
Or just fuck amd and buy gtx 1070.

What seedbox hosts do you recommend for someone wanting to try things out?
Been looking at feralhosting and it seems pretty much ideal.
10 pounds($13) for 1TB storage, 10Gbit/s and unlimited traffic.
Theres also seedhost.eu and similar but I dont know the reputation of any of these.
And no, I cant make my own seedbox because my connection speed is terrible.

Feral is nice. Has a bunch of nice docs to help you install things on the box. Also has a thing that reroutes traffic if you want. Don't know if it helps much, but it's cool.

Had a seedhost.eu box for a few months last year. Was very satisfied with it, however they limited the speed I could download over one connection from the box to my computer. To obtain full speed transferring files I needed to use a client with multisegmenting which basically opens up multiple connections, kind of like DownThemAll. Actually, seedhost sets up a web directory, and I used DownThemAll to download through that and got full line speed. Whatbox has a page about multisegmenting, try looking around their wiki or just searching for it.
I moved my shit to a large dedicated server because I wanted more storage, though the trade-off is I don't get as much speed. Would definitely recommend seedhost, service was steady as a rock, speeds from other boxes to it were very good, upload speeds were good.
If you're on any private trackers, it's worth checking out the forums to see what they have to say about various seedbox providers.

I want to see how rx 480 with a 8 pin power connector will fare. There is a Sapphire Nitro model of the rx 480 but it won't be out for 2-3 weeks. I think with proper power it should be able to do 1.7-1.8Ghz.

I think with a proper 8 pin and cooling solution it'll be within spitting distance of the gtx980. Right now it's only a little ahead of the 970.
