So I bought a new monitor to go with my new GTX 1080 graphics card, however I've been noticing these strange horizontal lines that flash occasionally on screen for a fraction of a second. I had to record a video to take a screen shot of it. They happen no matter the resolution or refresh rate. My old monitor never did this, they occur randomly when I play some games. They don't look like screen tearing, anyone have any ideas?

The monitor I purchased is a

Small ass screen. If it was only a little bit wider, I would recommend it.

This is why the T520 is the true and proper king (among several other things). Plus, the panel is INFINITELY better than the legendarily bad garbage on the T420.

"This week, China’s Sunway TaihuLight officially became the fastest supercomputer in the world. The previous champ? Also from China. What used to be an arms race for supercomputing primacy among technological nations has turned into a blowout. The Sunway TaihuLight is indeed a monster: theoretical peak performance of 125 petaflops, 10,649,600 cores, and 1.31 petabytes of primary memory."

how can white people's supercomputers even compare?

China does not.

and? nobody understands quantum computers. so china's supercomputer beats that.

Serious question, what would a supercomputer even be used for in China?

Absolutely. Good luck running modern games at that refresh rate, even below 1080p, you'd have some trouble.

I'm in the market for a new mouse but I can't find anything decent with 6-7 extra programmable buttons.

MMO mice have too many buttons and I think they would just get in the way, while most gaming mice only have back/forward with the occasional programmable dpi switch buttons.

I bought a G602 for work because it had 6 programmable buttons plus dpi buttons. Works pretty good.
>>
>would get in the way

They don't.

I've owned G600 for couple of years now, played some vidya back then, now it's been forever since I've played anything but I still love that mouse, programmable buttons are great even though I'm using just 1/3 of them now, the rest doesn't get in the way, I've never clicked anything accidentally.

And customer service is great, I had it plugged into faulty USB port so I raised an issue to Logitech, not knowing about my faulty USB port and they sent me a new one right away. Now I have two perfectly functional nice, one in black and one in white.

I'm on a Macbook Air, not particularly recent one, and tried comparing memory usage between Firefox, Firefox Dev Edition, and Chrome. For just a single open tab with a sample webpage (Facebook, in this case), both FFs took over 300MB in memory, while Chrome had only ~60MB in memory according to the Activity Monitor. What gives? I thought Firefox was supposed to be less of a memory hog than Chrome?

Okay /g/. I'm not here to argue whether or not FLAC is a placebo, but how can you tell if your FLAC files haven't just been converted from a lossy format before they were uploaded to whatever site you got them from?
