Can I teach myself to code and eventually be able to find a job from it, or should I not bother?
I kind of need an honest answer before I commit to this.
yes 100% it is possible.
For you? probably not esp if you like anime.
(anime rots the brain)
>>51478038
I did it. But it took a few years of struggle, and I'm actually getting a bachelors now so I can go and get my masters afterwards.

Why are you retards hyping this up? Don't you remember how hyped up Bulldozer was? You can't claim muh Jim Keller either. You have absolutely no reason to hype anymore.

Why?

It's basically BitTorrent on steroids.
>why would one use it
* Distributed, decentralized filesharing (for now - ipfs is merely the communication protocol, and additional applications can exist on top of it).
* You can have a mutable address (i.e. always points to the latest version of a site), or a static address (points to a specific file). Yes, you can host sites over IPFS.
* Peers are found fast for new downloads. You don't need to wait that much to start a download.
* You can watch your animu while it downloads, I watched few episodes that way and it didn't even buffer.
>how to upload a single file
$ ipfs add ./$file
Access it at localhost:8080/ipfs/$outputted-hash
>how to upload a dir
$ ipfs add -r ./$dir
Access it at localhost:8080/ipfs/$last-outputted-hash
>how to make the thing mutable
$ ipfs name publish ./$file-or-dir-hash
Access it at localhost:8080/ipns/$output-hash-aka-peerid (it's ipNs not ipFs)
To update, publish another hash and it will be available at the same IPNS address.

Question: can/how would streaming (f.e. Internet radio) be done with IPFS? I get stuff like twitter or 4chan, and but streaming seems a bit "impossible"... Or am I just not understanding it?
Also, what can you tell me about your experiences with Windows Phone?
I just bought a 640 for black friday and i like it but the app selection sucks. Also poor lastpass integration and no decent browser options.
I can return it but on the other hand I like it and I love it's battery life.
What do?
a single self-bump
Just return it. I have an 820 that hasn't been touched in ages. I tried my best, but when I couldn't pay for parking or my train tickets because there wasn't an app available for WP, I switched back.
>>51477853
Everyone I know with a windows phone regrets their purchase. The no apps really hurts user experience and pretending it doesn't is delusional.
If you have no friends so social media (like Snapchat) is irrelevant so windows phones might be for you

Alright /g/, what's the verdict on pic related?
I'm in desperate need for a sound card for my gayming since my on board sound sounds like absolute bumhole. It's all really fucking flat with no bass, almost like there's an invisible dildo stuck in my ear whenever I use my headphones.
Pic related is about 23 quid, very cheap, but I don't know if that means it's shite when it comes to soundcards.

Wrong answer
The problem are your speakers/headphone, a soundcard wont make your gaymen headset any better.

b-but insulation doesn't even cost a thousand bucks and you can't complain about being poor if you drive a car, they are expensive to maintain

Yes.

Does buying from an excellent card manufacturer really make a difference, or should i just buy a powercolor?
>>51476593
The price diference is small enough so i only buy asus. they redraw all schematics and use better parts.
>>51476593
if they're a reference model they're usually 99% identical. if not then usually the difference is all in the cooler. sometimes the company will actually make changes to the pcb layout. read reviews on the different models (ex. search "gtx XXX roundup") to see where their particular performance lands.
>>51476593
>Does buying from an excellent card manufacturer really make a difference
Yes, well it can. No manufacturer has a perfect track record, and none of them should be implicitly trust to put out a top notch product.
Every vendor has their hits and misses.
Always search for reviews, even if they're forum posts where people pull of heat sinks and look at the power phases on the PCB.
