Apologies for my retardation but I dont know what else to do.
So I got a new laptop with Windows 10 preinstalled which I've been using. I just created a Microsoft account to download an app but just button bashed all the info like name and password. Now when I try to log on to my laptop it is asking for the password which I button bashed so don't know. Also the recovery options are out the window as I made up all the details so I'm locked out of my laptop. Is there any way around this or am I looking at a clean OS install?
I know how to reset the password without wiping the data, but I won't tell you. Learn how to Google.

Tried that but all I can see involves keeping my files but still reinstalling windows
>>54684297
Really? I found an article a few months ago that did not involve reinstalling Windows.
where were you when apple dominated the cultural AND enthusiast market?
>>54683620
Using Microsoft. Not much has changed.
>>54683620
Programming on my Zx81 because I was a poorfag
>>54683620
On my macintosh playing space-invaders or something older.
Now I use iphone but windows for desktop
I'm currently downloading a large forum thats going offline next month with HTTrack. I'm going to end up with ~ 70,000 threads & 1.7m posts.
As I'm doing it, I'm wondering - what are the best tools to search offline html files?
Maybe its a stupid question, I am hungover. If it is, please say why.
Thanks.

recursive wget
Reminds me of the old Palm PDAs, where you could download a website and view it offline. It was amazing.

Welcome to /fglt/. We are always open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:
0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls...

Reposting my question in the free thread: Why does systemd get so much hate?
>tfw Wikipedia redirects "GNU/Linux" to "Linux" and has a separate article, "Linux kernel" for the actual Linux.
>>54682291
It violates the UNIX philosophy; keeping things simple and programs doing one job.
Why haven't you moved to *BSD yet, /g/?
>no systemd/other Linux bullshit
>clean code, everything works perfectly
The Linux world is a mess, time to switch.
>>54682056
Ok, I just abandon every piece of software, which is closed source and Linux-only just to use this time-sink operating system on my desktop.
Because it's in no state to be a daily driver.
>>54682056
I use the most recent version of *BSD
Why aren't you part of the master race?
ahhaha is this real?
>>54681985
I prefer 0 parts Windows 8, though. No thanks.
Because I game on PS. And my MMOs work fine on homOSeX

This is a support thread for Meriken's Tripcode Engine.
3.2.2 (May 21, 2016)
Improve OpenCL/CUDA detection on POSIX systems, including Mac OS X.
"Meriken's Tripcode Engine English" is a cross-platform application
designed to generate custom/vanity tripcodes at maximum speed.
It is arguably the fastest and most powerful program of its kind.
(This program actually runs faster than the original mty or
MTY_CL on the same hardware!)...

you should put the Linux version in the aur
Hope that guy with a hackintosh and GTX 970 is still around...

I dunno how exactly Linux packaging would work with OpenCL and CUDA. We will see.
Why do people even bother with nvidia cards?

And it seems like it's literally a 980 ti with 20% less cuda cores/TU/ROPs but is over clocked 60%
How did they manage to get it to overclock so much?
>>54678949
By letting it burn down your house
Massive process shrink. The architecture is literally the same though.
Is 1070 benchmark out yet?
THANK YOU BASED NVIDIA

I'm buying one after I get paid
It seems like this is mostly an aesthetic watch, the module has a shitty timer and is relatively unintuitive.
You can't have the hourly chime without the button beep for example

Mechanical watches sure are great
Let's discuss PC cases, /g/.
What's your current case?
What features are essential for you?
What features make a case a no buy?
Favourite brands?
Any recommended cases that have bottom mounted PSU with filtered intake and option for an intake fan, as well as top exhausts?
Recommended silent cases?
I'm out of the loop at the moment because I haven't bought a case since 2009, when I got my Antec 300.
Still rocking an Asus p180 from 2005.
I have a Lian-Li Lancool PC-K62 but I'll change it soon for my next PC build (x99 platform)
I'm thinking about Fractal Design cases , and I like the R5 Window and ARC XL , don't know what to choose.
