Why do companies stopped producing glossy monitors with more than 1080p resolution? They have a lot better colors than shitty matte displays.

If there's a person with a bright colored t-shirt standing behind you, in a brightly lit office (lamps NOT facong towards screens), then you'll see the person on your screen.
The color of their shirt snd the colors on your screen will mix, thus resulting in an utter garbage image!

Glossy monitors are fine when you're inside and the light isn't too bright. Don't be autistic.
But I guess most people (rightly) prefer matte displays, so maybe producing glossy ones isn't that profitable anymore.

Hello, so I two days ago ordered a Lenovo t460 with a 6th gen i7.
The next day I see Intel announcing their 7th gen procs that are, from what I read, aimed at providing higher features to lower end machines.
So now I'm considering canceling my order and waiting till the 7th gen drops to get more bang for my buck.
Does anyone have more insight into the practical advantages of the 7th gen chips? Not to mention AMD's 7th gen chips as well.
Anyone have reasonably supported expectations on what these new generations will mean beyond the obvious?

Just recently came into ownership of a Mac Powerbook G4 the hinge on the back is busted and I dont really want to waste money on repairs if the computer isnt worth much.
I'm wondering if I take it apart if the pieces will sell for more than the laptop as a whole. I'm more of a PC person so I don't know if selling Mac parts is common place or not.
Should I try to sell as-is after I wipe the hard-drive, should I try to repair the hinge at my local mac store, or should I take it apart?
Any info is helpful. And it would be great to get an idea on what prices I could sell things for.
