is the zenfone 2 g approved?
I'd like to jump off the forever sinking boat that windows phone is and I'm getting positive feedbacks from zenfone owners plus the price (250yuros)
>>52046460
It's bretty gud. The pre-installed apps are fucking gay though. I'll probably root it at some point or something.
>>52046460
Be wary there is a shitload of versions of zenfone2.
Most of them are superior to zenfone3~~5.
other than that the specs are alright.
Just get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. You won't regret buying it after the first 10 minutes.
JUST

More like per year
A word of warning to any would be linux users. Do not
DO NOT
DO NOT
DO NOT make the mistake that you need to start with a babby distro. If you keep using Mint forever, you'll learn nothing. Sure, you'll be able to use mint, but if you ever have to maintain a real linux system you'll be absolutely fucked.
Good starting distros:
• Debian
• Arch
• Fedora (this has the mint problem of being too easy for you learn, marginally less so though)
Why the fuck would I ever want to maintain a linux system other than the one I'm using?
But I do only want to use GNU+<Linux
>Good starting distros
>Arch
>tfw use OS X but really, really, really miss Windows
You should try running a Linux distro. Once you do you will never go back.
>>52045957
Yeah. To Loonix.

Hopefully you cancer/loonix users will find a nice Windows installation disk under your tree this Christmas.

Weird CPU/GPU combos that you've used, I'll start:
Xeon E3-1231V3 and R9 290X (current)
Pentium 4 and GTX770 (whilst I was waiting for the FX6300 to arrive in the mail)
>>52040921
Athlon 860k and R9 290
>>52040921
8320e and gtx 960s right now
I5 4690k + 8800gtx while I waited for my Gtx 970, after my r9 270x broke.
Also athlon x2 3800+Gtx 970 as a joke.
Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are three ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)
If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.
>Recommended for beginners:
-Ubuntu MATE
-Debian (For Broadcom devices, use an ISO that includes non-free firmware)
-openSUSE
-LinuxMint (a.k.a Ubuntu LTS + Cinnamon)
