G1 980 Ti with custom bios at 1550 Mhz/8000 Memory. Custom bios is key otherwise you get into hitting the power limit in certain scenarios.

I made this shit so long ago... now it's applicable, so why not post it?

Context: My parents are very judgmental of any kind of spending by me. Even if it's justified / within my ability to purchase. Anyway, I bought the ~$700 GTX 980 Ti SC+ shortly after I got my ~$280 1440p monitor. They knew about the monitor, not the GPU... so yeah.

Move out of your parents' basement. Problem solved.

>spends 980 dollars on a computer
>complains about living with parents
>to much of an elitist to rent a room with unities included. 980 is almost 2 months rent

Either start paying your parent rent or move out.

I know my countrymen are generally hardware illiterate and blindingly stupid, but I wasn't aware that people this retarded existed.

Anyone ever get accused of something nefarious when doing /g/-related things?

A thermal compound is way too advanced for the dum-dums who make up modern /g/. Why are you here? You're clearly too smart for this board.

KDE 5.x is still a buggy, unfinished mess that lost features for no good reason. Obviously nobody learned from the 4.0 - ~4.6 period. I've given up on KDE. The whole Frameworks thing is causing *huge* problems for distros too.

Why is that?
Wtf is happening with KDE?
Are they tryng the tactics to "sell" it just by visual looks while inner workings are all fucked up and bugged?

You'll just regret your purchase.

This can't be for any reason other than pure curiosity. Or maybe you think it will do things simpler and faster than windows - which it won't.

Do people actually use widgets on Android? It's supposed to be one of the big advantages over iOS.

I have an S6 and the only widget I've found useful is the remote widget so you can use the IR blaster. For everything else it's just more efficient to have a shortcut and go the app itself.

I use a few.

widgets > littering your homescreen with app shortcuts (then calling people faggots later in desktop threads for having 2-3 icons on their desktop)
>>
I use a weather widget and a checklist widget
>>
yup. My homescreen is
left: Google Keep (notes)
middle: shortcuts
right: weather and news

I'd have my RSS feed on the right if it wasn't full of porn
