>Windows 10 is botnet
>OS X^H^H^H^HmacOS is botnet
>only usable versions of Linux are botnet
Name even ONE reason I shouldn't kill myself right now.
>>55067549
Has /g/ always been this retarded? Nobody even knows what the fuck a botnet even is, and they repeatedly apply the definition to the wrong shit.
Can one person give a concise definition of what a Botnet is?
>>55067565
you're a botnet
>>55067549
Because
>Linux finally just werks
>MacOS is still just a glossy UI over a bsd backend
>Windows finally has a UI that doesn't look like a fischer-price toy
It's pretty sweet.
Why is Microsoft pushing Windows 10 so hard?

Profit
What else did you expect from a megacorporation?
>>55059226
But how?
Tracking your data and sending it to advertisers?
>>55059211
Because it's their newest OS and the more people use it the less resource they have to spent to maintain older versions.

You had to TRY to do that shit. They're bent in all different directions so it's not like they just clamped it down when it wasn't seated right or something, somebody straight fucked this CPU.

Looks more like someone dropped it on a carpet and then stepped on it or something.
NVIDIOTS LITERALLY ON SUICIDE WATCH.
Why buy a shitty $199 card that will be too slow next year when you could buy a 1070 for $379 that lasts 3 years or a 1080 for $599 that last 5 years?

Wow, it's actually real.
Another pointless acquisition by Microsoft that will go nowhere.
Good thing I never signed up.

What does OS X have that Windows doesn't have?
DPI scaling that works

Hardware compatibility to be honest

Shit ACPI implementation.
Shit driver implementation
A shittier kernel.
Proper Printer support (windows fucks up older printers)

The next madvr release will destroy mpv and you will regret your fosstard choice.
how do u get a better ui that is more Precise and vercitile?

the only thing madvr is destroying is madshi's sanity

This.
If any site blocks viewing the content, then I just leave, and avoid it if I ever see the site linked anywhere else.
Plus I'm so, *so* fucking sick of the Internet's information firehouse. There's too much info to consume out there, and it's made me dumb, so I don't care if a site or two with possibly-good content gets knocked out.
I'm fucking sick of terrible ads, and I will gladly support alternative models. And content-creators even just *knowing* they could...

Hey guys. If any of you know anything about this subject, please help me on /wsr/.

if data is quantized it is not an irrational number when measured (like binary).
LSB and MSB just refers to positions within a register. The most significant bit is the digit with the most value. Remember binary is just base 2.
in base 10, if you have 9425, 9 is the most significant bit, 5 is the least significant bit.
>>55077090
Ohh okay, thanks for explaining the LSB/MSB.
Could you please elaborate on the irrational numbers?
Can someone explain to a PC retard what the difference is between teraflops and clock speed?
Teraflops: Speed
Clockspeed: Horsepower
Can someone explain to a PC retard who knows nothing about cars what the difference is between teraflops and clock speed?
>>55077017
One is a unit, the other is a variable.
Hi /g/ is it possible to install Kodi on my series 5 Samsung smart TV?
>>55076782
>smart TV
I have yet to see a smart TV that is actually smart. Complete waste of money.
An HTPC or Raspberry Pi is eons better than some dumb "smart TV" bullshit.
I'm going to guess no to your /sqt/ question.
Unless your "smart TV" is running Android the answer is no. I think there's an Emby client for Samsung TVs though, that's likely the best you'll get.
>>55076782
just spend a few bucks on a pi and mount it to your VESA mount on the back of your TV. i got one in my guest room and loaded it with different repos to be able to stream. I recommended OpenELEC - it's a lot less bloated, as it has only what is needed on it to run it, no unnecessary extras like an DE or WM etc.
So I'm about to buy my first desktop with the following specs:
Intel 6700k - Skylake i7 4.0 - 4.2 GHz, overclocked to 4.6 GHz
32 GB RAM
GTX 970, overclocked (don't know what to)
512 GB M.2 SSD for Win10 & 3TB Seagate HDD for main storage
Gonna get myself one of them Ultrawide LG monitor's for it too (LG 29UB65-P).
What performance can I expect in the following;
GTA IV
GTA V
Watch_Dogs
3DS Max with VRay RT
ZBrush
Gazebo (running on Ubuntu)

I you're buying a gaming rig
Don't bottleneck it with an os that isnt mainstream yet for gaming

Post pics of old and dead web browsers.
I miss Opera 9. Pic related.
>>55076355
What version is Firefox on now?
That.
>>55076371
The current Stable build of Firefox appears to be v47. Not that the version number makes a huge difference, given the pace at which they're bumped up now.
I still remember using Firefox 2, and when Firefox 3 dropped, it felt so shiny and amazing. Blew everything else out of the water.
Come on guise.
Does nobod'th remember browsers of old?
Why does a shitty X201 sandy bridge integrated intel graphics chip perform 250% better than a T61 NVIDIA Quadro NVS140M in a T61, with both the nouveau and binary nvidia modules, dkms and standard? The X201 uses the i915 module.
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Quadro-NVS-140M.4216.0.html
Old GPU from 2007 while Intel's GPU is 2011, not surprisingly newer tech is always faster
>>55076072
>http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Quadro-NVS-140M.4216.0.html
Yes it is 4 years older, but lets compare. A quadro from 2012 should perform better than a Haswell iGPU from 2016, right?
>>55076158
>>55076072
>>55076020
the quadro is really there for cuda and double float precision not for graphics...
