what's /g/ preferred db/keystore?
My list
>MySQL
>MongoDB
>Redis
I use cockmonglerdb as well
>>52085983
Oracle SQL is probably the best
What would I need a keystore for? Genuinely want to know as I'm writing a niche social network app and it might come in handy but I don't know the context
Speccy thread. Come and compare your dick sizes in this thread.

AWS spot instance, costs anywhere from $0.10 to $0.18 an hour, depending on the demand.
I don't play games all that much, so it really doesn't cost me that much to run for a few hours a week
Calculators are technology. What do you use /g/?
My ol' trusty fx-991 ES is still going strong. Yes, I fell into the solar panel meme.
I have the same one you've got. Had it for about 9 years at this point. I don't see myself ever getting a new one, especially with wolfram, symbolab, mathematica close by.
>>52083819
That calculator is literally one of the best scientific calculators I've ever used.
Realcalc on phone.i'm 2 stupid to make use of all that fancy greek symbol shit.

Do you have a digital hoarding problem /g/?
>>52080571

Ready for what?
>>52080571
Yes, I have a very serious problem. Fortunately, I mostly hoard images. A terrabyte can go a hell of a long way.
>>52080571
Since when did collecting become hording?
I like collecting movies and T.V shows, I think I have about 5 TB of them combined. Which is actually pretty small.

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are three ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)
If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.
>Recommended for beginners:
-Ubuntu MATE
-Debian (For Broadcom devices, use an ISO that includes non-free firmware)
-openSUSE
-LinuxMint (a.k.a Ubuntu LTS + Cinnamon)

I installed mint and need to use unity for one specific site. I installed pipelight, I followed every set of directions I could find, I changed the user agent everything. Still no worky. Unity starts but won't load anything. I sitting here looking at the unity logo with and empty progress bar. If I go to
http://unity3d.com/webplayer_setup/setup-3x
it loads the cache but there's noting there. I've tried disabling caching as well. Help?

>nearly 2015 + 1

fag

If your server is anything more then webhosting for some shit site, you will need new packages. Debian stable is a museum. All other branches are not stable enough.
Recommend the best / most price efficient ergonomical chairs.
I'm looking for a fabric / mesh chair with a soft headrest and spacey, soft armrests. Ergonomical chairs with these properties seem rare. Hardmode: I live in Finland.

/g/ is for the discussion of technology and related topics.

Chairs are technology and technology is best used when sitting on a quality chair. This thread isn't solely for my personal request for chair recommendations.
Feel free to discuss chairs as technology and chairs in general.
Please don't sit on a shitty chair, it will ruin your health.
How do we get more minorities interested in tech?
>>52080430
Leave them alone and let them decide if they're interested in it themselves.
Those are fucking real people, not pets, and they're responsible for themselves, you pretentious librul cunt.
>>52080451
But their upbringing (mainly due in part because of us) puts them at a social and educational disadvantage which doesn't give them the same opportunities and privileges most other white people get.
I'm a minority and I'm not getting any interviews or even any callbacks.
>literally not a single thread about CCC
/g/ has become a consumerist joke
Schedule at https://events.ccc.de/congress/2015/Fahrplan/schedule/0.html
I woke up this morning thinking about it. It's one of the few events I want to experience at least once in my lifetime but will never likely be able to.
Watching them on the fake youtube channel cccen is the next best thing i suppose.
one hour till start I think.
