One of the project's more interesting features is the availability of a pre-configured virtual machine support pack with Windows XP or Windows 7 - a VirtualBox setup which allows the user to install and run the Windows operating system seamlessly alongside Robolinux. This is an optional add-on that must be purchased from the project's online store.

Nothing wrong with a wireless mouse. Cords on most wired mice are too rigid and restricting in most cases.
Wireless keyboards in on the other hand are fucking useless except if it's one of those with a built in touchpad for HTPCs

Total noob here. How can i get a C++ compiller?
I can't really understand the sticky.
20 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>51282324
If you don't understand the sticky please just give up.

You need to be fairly clever to do programming. While most of /g/ would disagree with this, I just believe they aren't giving themselves enough credit.

tl;dr gtfo retard
>>
>>51282324
If you can't understand the sticky then you have no use for a compiler of any type.
>>
You dont have to be clever to be a codemonkey. All you have to practice and it is okay. But I dont like stupid programmers anyway so fuck you. Btw You wont be a programmer.

I'm not sure because i'm using emacs so i don't know if vim really is laggy, but i guess it isn't because roughly same number of people use emacs and vim
why did i lose so much time on a thread i think is a bait, i don't know, fuck

Are GPU's a massive scam or are developers just lazy?

Hardly any games have surpassed the original Crysis in terms of graphics, yet the technical requirements keep going up exponentially

>Are GPU's a massive scam
No, they are more powerful and can crunch and compute numbers much more effectively, thanks to optimised architecture and smaller circuits.

>Are developers just lazy?
Yes, they are.
Higher performance hardware means that they can get away with shit-tier optimization and bloats in code.

Hey friends. Normally I just lurk, but today I have an important decision to make. I have to sign up for classes, and can no longer put off the decision. I can either major in computer engineering, or computer science. I like programming, and have interest in things ranging from operating systems to web back end stuff. I just want general opinions on both fields I guess. Anecdotes and opinions relating to the majors.

Comp eng and take a bunch of math electives. You'll learn programming as well as EE and be branded an engineer giving you more options in terms of what you want to do later. Whether that's a job in hardware or software as a programmer with an engineers mind which is quite valuable.
>>
>>51282010
Computer Science honestly, the sort of distinction that computer engineering entails and suggests to others is honestly something you'll pick up anyway.

Just stop using DTS.
It's older than fucking MP3.
Did you know that DTS has each channel encoded SEPERATELY.
And at a CONSTANT bit rate.

You are only embarrassing yourself.
You are on the wrong side of history.

Here's what you stupid fucking sceners have to do:
Instead of extracting the lossy core, decode losslessly, then encode with either opus or lc-aac.

Well that was shit.
Had this thing for about a week before I realized all the problems I was currently having was because of the update. RAM usage up the ass, webpages loading forever, videos skipping and the overall UI constantly freezing.
Complete blunder, had to revert back to 41.0.2 which coincidentally fixed the problems I was having. How did they fuck this up?

What happened to this shit? Every time I boot up a movie or some shit It tells me its pirated (which it is) and it refuses to play the media at all. Weird thing is, its happened with multiple different movie files of the same movie. Is it dialing out or was there something in the most recent version that prevents piracy?

Either way this is some botnet shit.
