Why Privacy is such expensive in 2016?
>Buy a VPN

Neowin routinely offers lifetime VPNs for that price
Wat, host your own and buy a domain name for $2/month
Goes with hosting your own email, be your own cloud storage provider.
2/10 apply yourself.
>>52348478
Just get a VPS and set everything up yourself.
>>52348535
>>52348564
You need multiple VPS for that or just a dedicated also a dedicated cost like 30€/Month too expensive for a poorfag

>It is based on the foundation of Humankind's knowledge - Algebra, Mathematics and Informational Solutions but extends beyond just numbers as do all Software Development Tools to work on Text, Time, Logic, Pictures, Audios, and Videos (the 7 Universal Data Types).
>AOS creates a bubble around the User/Programmer. Outside of the bubble are horribly complex constructs like the TCPIP Protocol which requires a 3 Volume Set of books to describe how to move Information around the planet. Inside the bubble is the User/Programmer, their Informational need (which never has anything to do with the box), their High School knowledge, and a clear idea of how to work their problem through Mathematics and Grammar.
So it's literally just a programming language with a standard library. Kickstarter discarded.
Why does no one care about Windows Phone anymore?
Are people really comfortable with the only options being Android and iOS?
>>52346653
But I am using one
>>52346653
because it's shit and dead. no amount of UWP shilling will bring it back, some apps will be released in first 6 month, after that everyone will forget it exists, like it happened with WP8 and 8,1
With W10M update it's basically Android Metro buggy beta that doesn't lag on low end devices.
>>52346653
>Why does no one care about Windows Phone anymore?
the same reason no one cared about webos.
Microsoft has yet to invest enough into app developers to get people to come over.

I was thinking about getting the Sony M4 Aqua 16 GB but I've just found out that the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is going to be released next week, it seems to have similar specs with a fucking 4100 mAh battery for only 150$.
What would you guys recommend?
>>52346300
By the way, the M4 would cost about 200$.
Pretty torn between getting a 6P now, or waiting for the snapdragon 820 phones. In particular the next HTC (M10?). 6P is already awesome but i'm afraid the m10, s7 and z6 will blow it out of the water speed and battery wise. Dunno what to do :(

Vanilla js doesn't take 300ms for every library it has to fetch... JQuery is about as vanilla as I'd get, but that's because otherwise the dom selection and Ajax functions would get long and ugly.
I've been looking into this html forms, which don't use any JavaScript at all, but that limits you to get and post. Also, you have to have forms everywhere and your site isn't really dynamic, at best you'll have a few sections where text can appear.
That's really the point of a library (any library), to make programming easier. The thing about angular and react, etc, how are they making things easier? JavaScript already has methods to manipulate the dom (why data binding?) and jQuery already simplifies this as well as you'd want.
>>52319567
Look at this hipster not using nodejs
>>52319718
C# is faster, easier to organise (into MV* style projects, like a pro) and nuget means there are more packages.
AlsoPage p = new Page("hello");
p.get = (a,b) => "[1,2,3,4]"; //sends back a json array with application/json as the content type
new Server(new Page[] {p});
Thread.Sleep(-1);
Node is great and it's faster than python/php/ruby etc, but it's barely more or less complicated than this and C# is faster.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", lightweight
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>They’re really cheap when you buy a used one.
>Keyboards feel excellent while typing (yes, even the newer ones).
>Great durability thanks to the inclusion of rollcages and use of glass fiber reinforced plastic for the chassis. The keyboard is splash proof and spilled liquids will drain out.
>Utilitarian design - e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking solutions that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for almost every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing on the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Reposting question from the last thread.
I have about 250€ for a Thinkpad, is there any reason to get an X series over something like the T420? Size and weight are non-issues for me.
Damn, what happened here?
>>52232344
Does the t460p have optical drive? Do any of the t series even have 1366x768 as an option still?
Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
There are three ways to try Linux, you can:
1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with Linux (not recommended)
If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's
likely you will start retreating back to windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.
