Poorfag here currently thinking about buying the Logitech G502 mouse or a version of it. It looks good and has more than 2 buttons which I've been looking for but the mousewheel looks like shit.
Would /g/ recommend this mouse? It costs more than I probably should spend on a mouse but for how often I use my computer I'm willing to spend it.
>>54362571
looks like a meme
My preference is the 602, its more comfortable and a lil less memetic. It could also theoretically be used in a professional setting but i use it strictly for personal use
>>54362583
Thanks, you've convinced me I will no longer be purchasing this mouse
>Buy image related on /g/'s recommendation (not for gaymen)
>Scroll wheel fails within 2 weeks
>Return to Amazon
>Get replacement
>Scroll wheel fails within a week
>Return for refund
>Buy from local retailer
>Only one left in stock
>Costs £10 more than from Amazon

/g/ would not recommend a meme-tier mouse, you lying cunt
>>54361720
I wish I had capped the thread. Oh well believe what you will. Anyhow. As to my question?
>>54361739
so, you admit you're dumb for not falling for it twice, but three times?
Even i learned my lesson with razer after the second time they failed within a year.
Let me recommend Zowie here. Do whatever.
I am learning Haskell from first principles and started studying Lambda Calculus. I'm learning useful features such as currying, beta reductions, etc. Wondering how useful knowing Lambda Calculus will be when I finally dive into Haskell.
you will get a proper mindset by studying Lambda-C
Haskell is hell though, good luck bruh
>>54360906
Thanks brother. I am familiar with mathematical logic, so I'm progressing through my studies in Lambda-C fairly quickly. I've studied recursion theory from computability w.r.t Turing's work but this is the first time I've touched Lambda Calculus. I love this stuff bro.
>>54360867
Haskell doesn't use regular Lambda calculus, it uses System F, which is polymorphic.
>how useful
Not as much as you think. If you want to learn Haskell, then learn it. If you want to learn a theoretical basis for expressing formal computation, then read up on the Lambda calculus.
Friendly thread open to users of all levels, including absolute beginners.
What does this offer that vanilla Arch doesn't? And on that note, why this over something like Kali?
hi followed the tutorial for install but do not see any menu items for blackarch. am i missing something?
>>54359886
so it's just arch with a shitty DE and hack tools from kali pre installed?
do you still use firefox or any of the variants /g/?
Which one?
Why?
I kinda need a portable firefox to run a couple userscripts that don't fukken work on firefox
>>54358663
Chromium*
Is that Martin Shkreli?
source please, I would like to get the video
>"We'll have flying cars!", they said.
>"Spaceships, faster-than-light travel!"
>"Time travel!"
>Nope.
>We have instant Red Bull.
This is what technology has become.
>>54363927
Faster then light travel is literally impossible due to relativity. Nice commentary you pleeb.
>>54363962
Relativity is just a theory.
You know, the concept behind those buttons are not bad if:
A. We were allowed to program it with whatever the fuck we want to order.
OR
B. The selection of said items was much better and with better quantities and not like "you have to order 4 cases of shit when you only need 1".
Share your configs, tips and discuss.
Is there a way to create playlists in this thing?
Neckbeards still unironically use that piece of shit?

Why mpv-android doesn't work on my nexus7 device?
Should I install codecs or similar shits?

Pro case
This is officially an autistic cardboard pc case thread (/cpc/).
What's the argument for having the latest smartphone again? I used to own the latest flagship models. Now I have an $80 5" phone that can handle any app and has plenty of screen space. So what's the point of buying a new $600 phone or getting jewed into a 2yr contract?
>>54364462
70€ 4,5" phone checking in. What cant i do that people with fancy phones can?
I guess people just like wasting money or something. I'm still using a $40 lg volt I got shortly after black friday last year. Only regret is I got a 64GB mSD card instead of a 128GB one.
If I do upgrade I'm limiting my budget to $100.
>>54364462
They actually work well, and have a better camera. If you don't care about lag or camera, sure, stick to your poorfag shit.
You probably own a smartphone
and
unless you're a self obsessed prick take a few pictures only once every couple of weeks and probably browse the internet in those rare situations a laptop is not around but that's pretty much it
My question for you is why have people fallen for the smartphone trap when you don't even use half the features it provides or use it so rarely that it's not worth it?
<- Why not go back to these strictly functional devices and reclaim those hours lost staring into social media and do something productive?
>>54355227
Everything is a meme.
I reguarly use smartphone's advanced features.
Even dumbphones today have social media apps.
>>54355227
Yes, everything popular will die
Do you still use the Commodore 64? no
See that super popular computer was just a meme
Just like this website
And you're current computer
Tried doing that, really missed having a QWERTY keyboard and notes with online sync.
Theoretically would it be possible to generate every single possible jpg that is 300x300 and go through them until we find one that shows something cool like taylor swift naked?
You'd probably have to make it greyscale only and do some sort of optimisation so you don't generate images that aren't anywhere close but would it be possible?
>>54346628
sure but you'll have to go through billions of images and have good randomness which computers are bad at.
You won't be able to achieve it on your home pc, easier would be to hack her phone or photoshop her onto a naked body.
But really Taylor Swift looks like an old hag.
you should ask the xkcd guy
>>54346628
Is it possible? Yes.
Is it feasible? No.
The algorithm as you're describing, if it took, say, 1 microsecond to evaluate if the image is interesting or not, would not be finished even if was started at creation of universe.
>>54346663
>billions
kek
Interesting fact: Instagram keep all of its info inside a single JSON string and keeps it on the site, and you can easily crawl the site and parse it. I wrote this literally today in Java.
Dully noted
>>54360565
>a single JSON string
Unless they have some serious big data scientists, I doubt it
>>54360565
What does this mean? Can I see pictures of private profiles?
>"anon your game is slowing down the Internet. I think it's a virus"
>Web browser looks like pic related
Did you experience this much growing up /g/? Not just toolbars, but parents doing dumb shit on their computer and blaming it on you
My parents didn't use the computer.
>>54358046
No, my parents never used computers and I never played video games.
>>54358046
No, because my parents got me my own computer to fuck around with. They still didn't manage to fuck up their own, though.
What should I buy with this? I own pretty much every app I want
Give it to me.
>>54353630
sure, how? It will expire soon, giving it away is better than letting it disappear
>>54353613
Start getting into games with microtransactions
Also how long did it take you to get that much? I keep getting $0.10~$0.20 surveys now as apposed to a few weeks ago when it was $0.50
>Macbooks are overpriced
>Ok, show me a similarly priced laptop with the same specs or better. Reminder that $1300 rMBPs are light, have a 2560x1600 retina display, 8GB RAM, outstanding battery life, NVMe SSDs and the best build quality and support in the business

Can we finally put an end to this meme?
