I have a Chromebook, but want to play some games online with a friend

Are there any good sites with browser games? I don't care how simple or complex they are.

I have a main PC, but I obviously can't just take that with me everywhere I go.

I declare there exists a function, named maximum, which accepts a list of numbers and returns the largest number within that list.

Does the 128-bit bus really cripple it, or is the 960 an okay card?
Let's say I can't get a 380 or wait for Polaris/the 1060.

>>54636657
Yeah it's OK. The 4gb will probably never all be used. 380/x does do better in games, tho. I would probably regret it in about 4 months though.
>>
>>54636657
Apparently even 4gb of HBM wasn't enough for some benchmarks and it filled up crippling performance for the Fury X.

I say be patient faggot, AMD is looking at the mainstream GPU market 1st instead of the top down approach of Nvidia
>>
Just wait for the 1060

Do you have to be really good at math to be a software dev/eng, or study CS. Im okay at math but not amazing or anything, do i have a chance?
13 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
yes it is possible. I started being mediocre at math and im faring well. You just gotta put effort into it.

Your math intuition and skill will only get better over time as long as you put the hours in. Just like an instrument. Don't expect o be Euler, but a CS undergrad degree isn't super math intensive imo.

>Do you have to be really good at math

really good? No
Decent to good? Yes.

>Im okay at math but not amazing or anything, do i have a chance

If you're okay at math, it should be good enough i think.

If you have to ask, no, you don't have a chance.

Are you taking CS currently?

I hate it when some normie cunt journalist writes a story about a new "chip" then decides to use a picture of a complete circuit board, with heatsink, instead of the chip itself

the journalist used the *one* picture google released of the TPU. and you fault?

God damn it. Moore's law concerns the minima of cost between adding more functionality and losing components to manufacturing defects. This title makes no sense.

I got hired a bit less than a month ago at some startup and I am already burned out as fuck. It's my first programming job, I have always worked independently before.

One thing that sucks the most is that my boss likes to command me and the other two engineers to do shit, but he himself doesn't take any initiative into the idea. He expects stuff to happen, but he himself lacks perspective on the project.

Is this normal for programming jobs/startups, or did I just get an unlucky hand? The other two engineers are great guys, but the boss sucks and it makes so much stress and burnout.

Wat do? I want to work and can do good work, I just can't do /his/ idea of work. Maybe if he had some kind of ideals.. thanks bros

Does anyone else here constantly shit themselves thinking about how amazing the internet is? Even when I'm not thinking about it it constantly amazes me as to how much the internet has influence over our daily lives. It is virtually impossible to cut yourself off of it's influence in one way or another.

It constantly amazes me that something with such a simple premise of "hey let's connect these computers through a virtual network" (all new words that had no meaning decades ago) and opened a Pandora's box of learning, resource and information. At first we were like "I don't know what the fuck to do with this", and it gradually evolved into sharing information about anything to videos, music, social networking, criminal organisation etc. It's amazing what people do and the ideas we have when we're connected.

Here I am having a philosophical bullshit rant at 2:00AM waiting for a game I purchased to download. Before the internet I'd have to physically go somewhere to get what I want. Now it fucking amazes me that ANY information that can be housed through a digital medium can be downloaded through a computer at my whim. Same goes for news articles, music and learning resources I'm constantly in awe of the type of information and what people get up to on the internet.

I didn't start using the internet in my house until like maybe 2007 and I remember seeing Harry Potter and those moving newspaper pictures and thought "wow that will never become a reality". In essence it's true because physical pictures can't move but it's been replaced by something so much more superior that updates in seconds and where things are archived and if you look hard enough you can find almost anything. No more of this burning of the Library of Alexandria type shit where humanity will have lost knowledge. I am so grateful the internet exists as a time capsule of what humanity is up to good and bad.

It amazes me since just 10 years ago I could keep living my life without getting close to a computer and now is practically impossible, a cell phone with Internet seems to be a must nowadays and even my grandparents have facebook, check mails and that kind of stuff, I really hope people start to get more conscious about how lucky they are by having access to a lot of useful information and not just fall for the consumerism meme
>>

>>
>>54636106
Really it's all been about connivence. I am very grateful since I live in a remote part of the world but don't feel any more isolated as to what's happening about the things I care about. The other day I went to a Sunday market type shit and found comics that were like "New Zealand edition! Local Dunedin pressing!" I was like what the fuck how old are these? They definitely don't do those anymore since the www came about. Back then people thought the internet was a meme fad. Look how far it's come right?

Teach me how to do a dynamic animation in unity using the animator which moves an IK(the arm) to the position of the mouse. It also has to do this concurrently with my other walking, idle, sprinting, jumping animations.
