ITT we discuss the best programming fonts.

I'll start:
PragmataPro.

That font literally gave me eyecancer. If you don't use monospace, you're not a coder, you're just a pleb. Let me guess, you're a node.js faggot
>>
>>55143708
That's a monospaced font family, baka.
>>
>>55143708
Pragmata is monospace, it's just ugly as fuck. I went through a phase of liking it but grew out of it, and now my parents are talking to me again.

Ubuntu Mono is the one I keep coming back to, after years of searching. Preferably bold.

Can we have a hackintosh thread? How many hackintosh users are out there? What's your rig? Were you able to do a hackintosh without the reccomended hardware?

Also, I'm building this [budget] setup to see if it at least can handle Yosemite:

I was running a Hackintosh for a year or so before I switched to botnet 10.

It just werked 98% of the time, but I finally got fed up with the lack of software for OS X and how locked down the system is. After trying linux and abandoning that once it refused to give me a proper layout for my keyboard, I finally installed botnet 10.

Now that I'm using it, I really don't understand why you'd want to run OS X, unless you have some specific need for it (e.g. UNIX environment).
Not to say that botnet 10 doesn't have it's retarded parts, and parts that I miss from OS X, but overall I can't complain at all. I can choose whatever hardware I like and I can proper support for it too.

Can we all just stop meming for 2 seconds and take a minute to sit down and seriously discuss this card?

As of yet, there are no real benchmarks. All reviews are embargoed for another 11 days. Any discussion of performance is based around assumption and a single slide from AMD in a press conference made to make the card look amazing.

We need to stop continuously repeating bullshit about how this card can perform as well as a GTX 980, or talking about how it scales linearly with overclocking, or that it can be overclocked to the moon.

If you're going to recommend the card to someone, simply tell them to wait for the benchmarks on the 29th, that it will cost around $200-300 and that's all we know for certain right now.

Thank you.

It's just a fucking video card man, who cares
>>
>>55142875
benchmarks are all in crossfire and exclusively on applications that run well under it, of course it's a fucking scam

They're trying to sucker in people who think they're going to be getting 1080 tier performance across the board when realistically you're either going to be dealing with microstuttering or a game that doesn't support it.

The directx12 perfect dual gpu meme should be considered a lie until it's actually out, no directx release ever lives up to it's promises, and we haven't seen anything under directx12 yet

What are your thoughts on the steam controller? I was thinking of getting one. i'm currently using a cheap logitech dual action
76 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
It works but whether it's good or not for you is up to you.
>>
>>55142571
It's more a replacement for a keyboard and mouse than a joypad.
>>
>>55142571

God tier if the game supports simultaneous gamepad and mouse input. The Mouse-Joystick emulation option where it uses positive acceleration to attempt to cancel out the negative acceleration of the controller works good in some games, bad in others.

There's a learning curve, but its great once you start getting a hang of the possibilities.

My only problem is that input is doubled when I first turn it on, have to turn it on and off again for steam to properly load my bindings.

Is it worth waiting 11 days for the Radeon rx 480 when I can buy a gtx 960 for about the same price?
88 posts and 14 images submitted.
>>
It's only almost twice the performance for the same price.

Your call though.
>>
Yes you mongoloid
Supposed leaked benches are putting the RX480 about on par with a 980.
>>
>>55142409
They're not even remotely comparable. The absolute worst-case scenario for an RX 480 has it at GTX 970 performance, whilst others put it above the 980. Make sure to make a thread if you do buy a 960 now, as I want to laugh at you.
