I have one of these (I think, bought it to plug into a raspberry pi, looks exactly like pic related) that's sitting on my windowsill. It feeds ads-b data to FlightAware, I get a free pro account and plus I can see airplanes landing at DFW and Love Field from my house in Plano, Texas. Supposedly uses less energy than a night light, but still gets pretty hot constantly. Still, pretty cool to see airplanes ascend and descend to and from the airport :D
Also, that shit's valuable in the zombie apocalypse.

Gifted programmer and human rights activist Lauri Love, 31, stands accused of intercepting online systems operated by the Fed, NASA, the FBI, the US Department of Defense and the US Environmental Protection Agency, among others.
The US Department of Justice (DoJ) is pursuing him with three extradition orders, claiming he and several collaborators violated millions of US networks between 2012 and 2013, landing US tax payers with a multimillion dollar damages bill.
Love’s US-UK legal team say he could face up to 99 years in prison if extradited to America. The NCA previously declined to comment directly on his extradition proceedings or those concerning his civil property suit. When asked whether it felt pressured by the NSA and/or other US authorities regarding Love’s case, a spokesperson for the law enforcement body said: “The NCA is an independent law enforcement agency. I want to build something similar, but with a low boiling liquid instead of oil. It would also have a lid that works as a condenser, preventing the coolant vapor from escaping. But what would be a suitable liquid? I was thinking about diethyl ether but I'm afraid that it might dissolve some plastic components. Acetone definitely would. Alcohol is too high boiling and also conductive.
Why wouldn't you just do mineral oil?

I am not sure what the advantage would be. Phase-change liquid/piped cooling is one thing but as I understand it, immersion doesn't really benefit from having a vapor stage

It just gets hotter and hotter unless you have tons of it. A liquid that boils can't get hotter than its boiling point.

Mint died some time ago when they revealed that they were incompetent enough to let some l33t hax0r fuck with the .iso files on their site. Bonus points for the ancient kernels. Somehow I doubt they're as diligent as Debian is about backporting security fixes to 3.16.

Galaxy Note 10.1 has a pretty neat S-pen if you're interested in digital handwriting. I wanted something like a Surface Pro for handwritten notes in college but came across this thing for way cheaper (got it used) and it's pretty decent.
