Hi /g/ I don't visit here often and I suck at technology so bear with me.

So I just recently bought a new Xbox 360 external hard drive and a transfer cable. I already know pc is master race as I do own one myself, but I play the 360 because most of my friends have shit pcs. Anyways, when I did a data transfer I fucked up and mixed up the two hard drives and my new one got formatted like a usb.

Whenever I plug it into the hard drive slot it doesn't recognize it and it doesn't show up. I've formatted it on my computer and it still won't recognize. What should I do /g/? Do I need do get another one?

Is there honestly any reason for a college kid to install Linux (probably Ubuntu) if they don't plan on using the command line for everything?

Nope.

You very rarely have to use the command line. It's faster, but you don't have to use it.

Why are people calling electric scooters "hoverboards"? It triggers me.

What do you care, getting triggered is for pussies, a real man doesn't get triggered unless he chooses to.

For a while I figured I would be a web dev but whenever I look at job postings I just cringe at the words "SEO" and "content management", and when I see the trendy jquery-heavy websites that are so popular today I die a little inside.
So I really like Javascript so what language should I get into with that in mind? (As well as a job in the near future.)

jquery bloats the webpage, in both load times and while current trends would say otherwise, in appearance; why would you need a playing movie as a background for a webpage? I may move towards the back end or yes, away from web all together.

OP 0/10 this shallow travel crap is a meme.

bring it to work-your coworkers will know that
you don't fuck around.

My room mate has the 4000. The key presses have too much travel, and it has cancer for a space bar.

Shallow travel is so good, why fuck about with longer travel?

>Compatible with firefox extensions (obviously)
>less of a memory hog then the other available browsers

Because I already use the best browser out there, Canary.

For some reason I get 0 performance improvement with all of the firefox spinoffs: the same stutter in the same places, the same lag, the same pages that take forever to finish rendering, etc. I guess you all just fucking suck at knowing how to make firefox run well.

Why the fuck is Vivaldi's boot time so fucking slow?

Seriously. I just counted, and it took over fifty seconds for it to load.

Just delete it. Since it's closed source, you can't fix it yourself anyway.

That's why I'm so surprised.
And I'm on Arch. Admittedly I'm not using the official vivaldi build for arch but still.

which .de domain would you buy right now if you were looking for a geeky/nerdy domain for your home network?
i am thinking about for example:
swapoff.de
setuid.de or stuff like that
15 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Remember that you have to be in Germany to do that.
>>
i know that and that's almost the reason why it should be .de (It's the cheapest i can get here)
>>
>>50796599
How cheap is it?

Do you block ads on 4chan? I personally don't since they're not intrusive and 4chan X can reduce the opacity.

I'm working on a project and I'm looking for the first ever consumer or prosumer camera that could record real 16:9 footage, or some lame widescreen that was actually 4:3 cropped. The best I could find is the Sony DVW 970, released in 1993, but something before that would be better for me.

>>
can i ask why?
>>
>>50796213
I'm working on a movie set before 1993, and I'd like to have a short part with found footage in it. The footage would fill the whole screen, so I'd prefer if it did that in 16:9 instead of 4:3.
>>
>>50796248
you could just drop 4:3 footage to 16:9, since you're recording it it won't be hard to keep content in-frame

even if the viewfinder doesn't into 16:9 you could use a simple paper cutout or similar to cover the top and bottom so you don't mess up
