need help /g
since the last time i cleaned up my cpu because it was heating up like crazy (according to speccy, i didn't notice any actual heat) it hasn't stopped to heat up, reaching up to crazy temperatures like 105°c (according again to speccy), but the problem is that now i actually feel the hot air coming out of the cpu fan and even the case has started to heat up, and not only that but its performance has dropped inmensly.
any ideas why?

install more fans.
first things first. check if the cooler makes good contact. then change the thermal paste. then if all else fails get more fans. this is an old machine. if the cooler has never been removed to change paste it probably is dry as bones right now
also use a proper program like speedfan or realtemp. never ever trust speccy , it can be wildly inaccurate.
Does anyone have information about this card? Looked online and nothing.

For nearly anything besides movies and a subset of games, having a vertically cropped workspace is a productivity killer.
Get a 2560x1440 instead of 2560x1080 or a 3840x2160 instead of 3440x1440.

Use redhat software collections or compile it yourself. Some packages move too fast for them to issue long term support. The same is true for Ubuntu LTS.
If your server had 5.2 and a yum update bumped it to 5.4 you might experience breaking changes. RHEL avoids breaking changes within the same major release. This is a good thing.
That's the point of LTS.
Upgrading PHP version might break your old php web.
Also, EOL upstream doesn't mean unpatched downstream.
Anyway, i use debian for servers as i don't maintain old stuff rigidly.

Following what's written on mpv site if you play an audio file it should show the first image it finds.
Then why it doesn't show anything? The image is in the folder and should be seen by the program.

Would this be reliable enough for regular desktop usage? It's a SanDisk Ultra II 960GB drive, looking to upgrade from my aging and rather filled 120GB Crucial M4 from years ago. The speed is primarily used for games with slow ass loading times and regular OS stability/speed.
