Hello,

A friend and I are learning HTML and CSS. Our instructional video told us to type the following code to change font size:

h1 {
font-size:2em; }

h2 {
font-size:1.3em; }

h3 {
font-size:1.3;}

It displayed correctly on his browser. However on mine it displayed everything tagged as a h2 or h3 very small. I went back to the code and added em to the 1.6 and 1.3 (as seen in the image) and it matches correctly now.

Can anyone tell me why it displayed correctly on his without the em. Or what problems I may have made that resulted in mine not working?
16 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
If you leave off the "em" then the CSS is invalid and should not work. Your friend's shitty browser is making assumptions that it shouldn't be making.
>>
So say I wanted to list ten things each getting smaller.
h1 {font-size:2em; }
h2 {font-size:1.9em; }
h3 {font-size:1.8em; }
h4 {font-size:1.7em; }
h5 {font-size:1.6em; }
h6 {font-size:1.5em; }
h7 {font-size:1.4em; }
h8 {font-size:1.3em; }
h9 {font-size:1.2em; }
h10 {font-size:1.1em; }

Would be the proper way to display that?
>>
>>54499102
his browser probably defaults to em, your probably defaults to pt
moral of the story: always specify a unit

also em is the relative percentage of your browser's default font size
so 1.5 em is 150% size, or 50% larger than default

I've always put the opening bracket on the same line but I recently started doing that with the closing bracket as well and it looks very comfy

How do uploaded have such large amounts of video files on their Google Drives to share for piracy?

What is the method for uploading large video files quickly to Google Drive? This is something I would be interested in doing; either from torrents or DDL.

Fuck, I missed the humble book bundle. It had some pretty good books…

Does anyone happen to have it? Mind to upload it somewhere?

None of them are any good, that's why they're featured on humble bundle.
You think anyone gives a shit about Citizens of Earth or Retro City Rampage?
They're all mediocre games that you would never buy on your own.
>>
>>54498706
>They're all mediocre games
First, those are fucking books.

Then… There is all kind of games on humble bundle from AAA to very obscure and everything in between. It's not only poor games, it's all kind of games. But we're not talking about games anyway, because those are books.

And finaly…

>Hacking: the art of exploitation
>Not any good

Hacking: The Art of Exploitation and Practical Malware Analysis are both not only classics, but used in countless curriculum both online and off.

Getting a little tired of the Manjaro dev's bullshit. The latest XFCE update fucked up my QT and they've managed to neglect their SSL certificate expiration date for the second time. I'm ready for a switch, and right now I've got Antergos in mind. Any ideas?

Jesus, just learn how to install Arch yourself. It isn't hard. Just read the wiki, maybe watch a youtube video once before just to get the idea. If you've ever put together an ikea coffee table, this should be just as easy.
