List 3 invention about smartphone since 2008. One rule: It's need to be useful, and not just hardware upgrades and screen size incrementation.
>Protip: You can't.
Smartphones slowly dying, we got no improvements for like for 6 years. Apple stopped to make new things, and now follows market, they even moved to a Korean design. Samsung and LG are making overpriced dull phones from materials cheaper than middle tier Chink phones. The biggest marketing stuff about Android now is the number of cores;...

Why is Google so evil? I can't believe I used to support them.
http://www.windowscentral.com/google-officially-kills-softcard-support-windows-phone
Tell me /g/ why do you support a company like this?
because i can upload 50,000 tracks to Google Play right NOW for FREE!

Damn. This is pretty fucked up. It's ironic how Microsoft is more open than Apple and Google these days. You'd think they'd get support from most neckbeards but no. All they care about is uploading their anime music to google play. Don't worry windows phone fags, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
How does this look for a budget 4k rig?

Or I can save a few bucks by selling my processor, motherboard, and gpu(3570k, asrock z77 extreme4, and sapphire dual-x 7970), recycling my case(NZXT Switch 810), power supply(hale90v2 1000w) and hard drives, for a total of ~$2500

It's alright, but there are a few problems I have with the idea.

You're investing in two very good video cards to power a 28 inch TN panel. Not that that particular monitor is bad, but it's still limited by being a TN. At that large form factor, your viewing angles become very important since it's pretty fucking huge. I would highly recommend going for a very quality IPS panel for a few reasons.

/g/ what have you done with yours?
I've been putting off getting one of these things for ages but now that they recently released the 2 I'm going to get one. Not entirely sure yet on what I'll do with it except play around.
B+
openelec for media server behind my 42" 4k tv.
I'm planning to maybe buy another one (I'm waiting for the 2 to cost 30€) to use as opevpn + nas.
or use the B+ for that, and buy another board for xbmc that can play my hi10p anime (protip: the pi2 won't)
Original B Model 2, going to upgrade it to a RaspPi 2 B soon.
Currently using it for my B-MO.
Check out the odroid C1. Same price but better specs and a lot of the ports aren't tied through USB. It's made in South Korea so that's why it's the same price.

I wonder how much hate this will get now, after posting right at the beginning of a homescreen thread.

S-Sauce pls.
>KDE Plasma 5.2 looks really good
>feel like switching to linux
>remember that no developers want to port their games to linux as there is almost no gaming market there, and WINE doesn't support some games
Linux is completely useless. There's almost no games on it apart from fan ports, and anything that you could want to do on a PC can be done on Windows, so what's the point in using a Linux Distro instead?

It's shit. GNOME is better.
Also the best games are from past generations, based open source emulators make them safe to play.

once you grow up you'll learn that there are some other reasons than gaming to use a computer
Why are switches so obsecenly expensive?
>>46735647
Because they are generally for business use.
Is there a difference between this one and yours?
Forgive the stupid question, networking isn't really my thing, but if i can help you find something similar for a lower price, i probably can.
Because you're looking at a managed enterprise one. You can get a basic gbit switch on Newegg for cheap.
What the FUCK happened here? Is this fake?
It can't possibly be true.
what are you talking about?

Any good guides on setting up a homeserver?
I'd want:
SSH login via keys only
VNC over SSH
Fail2Ban and similar
BTSync
Other /g/approved items
Do you have your machine running?
We can guide you.

Machine is running Debian. VNC access is setup, but not via SSH.

Then you better have a Galaxy or a OPO or something that has a back that isn't made of glass or aluminium, otherwise enjoy your constant slips.
But I already do that m8.
