Smartphones slowly dying, we got no improvements for like for 6 years. Apple stopped to make new things, and now follows market, they even moved to a Korean design. Samsung and LG are making overpriced dull phones from materials cheaper than middle tier Chink phones. The biggest marketing stuff about Android now is the number of cores; "muh cores" and not the fact they finally moved on ART, from the 20th century Dalvik. And be honest ART is turned out as a slight improvement. Windows phones are considered new technology, but not a single new features introduced in mobile market. Mozilla is just like SJW of technology, but I really hope the Firefox OS will be the new breakthrough, but let's be honest it will not.

It's alright, but there are a few problems I have with the idea.

You're investing in two very good video cards to power a 28 inch TN panel. Not that that particular monitor is bad, but it's still limited by being a TN. At that large form factor, your viewing angles become very important since it's pretty fucking huge. I would highly recommend going for a very quality IPS panel for a few reasons.
1. You could drop down to a remarkably badass 3440x1440 21:9 IPS display and not need to crossfire/SLI to power it.
2. You can stay at 16:9 at 2560x1440 and power it with a single card as well.
3. Both 3440x1440 (34 inches) and 2560x1440 (27 inches) run at right around 110ppi, which is ideal for Windows. At UHD you will have a lot of scaling issues.
4. Long story short, you're throwing a lot of money at a 4K TN build and both will hold you back.

Not a terrible idea, but the 300 cards are around the corner. But it gets back to my original point that you could stick a single 980/290x in a build and power a 110ppi amazing experience.
Others are close to limit.

I've been putting off getting one of these things for ages but now that they recently released the 2 I'm going to get one. Not entirely sure yet on what I'll do with it except play around.

or use the B+ for that, and buy another board for xbmc that can play my hi10p anime (protip: the pi2 won't)
Original B Model 2, going to upgrade it to a RaspPi 2 B soon.
Currently using it for my B-MO.
Check out the odroid C1. Same price but better specs and a lot of the ports aren't tied through USB. It's made in South Korea so that's why it's the same price.

Linux is completely useless. There's almost no games on it apart from fan ports, and anything that you could want to do on a PC can be done on Windows, so what's the point in using a Linux Distro instead?

Because you're looking at a managed enterprise one. You can get a basic gbit switch on Newegg for cheap.
