clean install a couple of days ago. trying to keep it as minimal as possible. I prefer to keep a C:\bin folder with my apps in rather than installing loads of things and restoring their configuration. Much easier to just copy and paste the folder.

Since when?

The lenovo malware thing affected their consumer laptops, and no thinkpads, and it doesn't retroactively go backwards in time and affect products that already exist and it only affects you if you actually use the OS it comes with with not doing a clean install to clean the crap that comes with laptops AND if you're buying new which you shouldn't anyway

Lets you select multiple links, or check boxes and do things with them.

I use it to copy a bunch of links, and then I paste them into wget.

It would be better if it redirected to archive before it loaded the page.

This is fucking worthless because by the time you blacklist malicious scripts you're already fucked.

good looking out. i was using Copy Link URL for this, but yours seems to be a little more capable.

Does /g/ like 16:10? Also general monitor thread.
220 posts and 26 images submitted.
>>
I like my 16:10 Dell. The added vertical space helps in everyday use tremendously.
>>
>>46603209
Yes, but /g/ is so full of shilling and plebs wanting to feel good about their purchases that preferring 16:10 is now largely seen as an elitist position.

For workstations:
> 16:10 > 16:9 > 21:9 = 4:3, although 1200+2560+1200x1600 PLP with 2x 4:3s is god tier of last generation

People generally want more horizontal space, but they're ashamed they have to chop vertical space off to be able to afford larger monitors.

What's a good frontend for mpv? I need something to give to normalfag vlc users. MPV is just too strange and weird for them to use.

My file manager opens stuff by default in mpv and having the settings all in a single config file is much easier than navigating 20 fucking menus for shit.

Are AMD APUs even relevant anymore /g/?

AMD has given us 28nm kaveri but it still seems like a better idea to just get a separate cpu and gpu.

I know Intel has the technology to make a killer APU but they would probably charge like $1,000 for such a chip so they are out of the question.

>>46623495

Intel BARELY keeps up with AMDs APUs and those chips that do cost ridiculous prices
>>
>>46623495

Yes, they are relevant and pretty good in low budget builds.

The newer A10s can get 60fps in 1600x900 on BF4 in medium, easily over 120fps in CSGO, etc.
>>
>>46623495
They're good in their budget. If i would have to make simple, everyday PC for light usage and some games, a6/a10 would be great idea.

What's sitting in your closet or basement?
What are you running?

Personally, I'm having issues with Transmission. It doesn't want to move completed torrents. Is it a problem with SickRAGE?
Oh, and I can't find a good UPnP software. Any recommendations? Tried MediaTomb, but it just made a mess of it.

I have a poweredge R610 but I plan on selling it and get something more flexible to use as a NAS since the 6x 2.5" drive slots are cancer in terms of storage. Not really sure what to buy though. Do I really need ecc memory for freenas?

How many of you have moved partially or completely away from 'cloud' providers? The last year I've been slowly itching my way away but curious who else has done this. The increase in privacy is nice but the tradeoff in usability seems huge.
275 posts and 64 images submitted.
>>
>moved partially or completely away from 'cloud' providers

I've never used a "cloud" service
>>
It's easy to avoid all of these. Some examples

>chrome
Firefox
>apple
literally anything else
>ghostery
ublock
>teamspeak
mumble
>utorrent
transmission
>android
don't use gapps
>foobar
cmus
>opera
firefox
>mirc
irssi
>netflix
torrents
>ubuntu
debian
>lastpass
keepassx

etc

What do you mean cloud providers? Even if you don't store "your" data on cloud servers, you're still reliant on them via centralized shit like google, etc.
>>
>>46613393
That's great. What do you use instead for common tasks? (Email, file sync, etc.) Looking for alternatives to what I'm currently using.
