>had my first tech interview
>for internship at extremely popular startup
>only one position for next year
>I knew one guy from before but the other guy seemed pissed off the entire time
>was extremely awkward at first, forgetting words, stammering, shaking, saying extremely complicated sentences and downplaying my skills
>settled into it later somewhat
>had tons of projects, they said nothing about them
>half way through technical question they asked me a second one
>technically solved both but barely
>they stopped me while I was fixing syntax errors, said it was close enough
>pretty sure I did well on the culture/personality questions
good points:
>lasted a long time, they didn't kick me out
>they told me they would let me know as soon as possible because they didn't want to lose me (pissed off guy said this though, could have been sarcastic)
please tell me your worst interviews so I feel better

I just bought an Audioengine D1, was that a big mistake? Keep in mind that I'm in the EU, there aren't a lot of DACs availible.

I've got around 80 bucks to spend. I can get the G700s for around 40-50. What does /g/ recommend for a really good, no compromises gaming mouse? I'm open to suggestions.

I have the Rival, and a G600. I don't like the Rival because its not really ergonomic for me. I use the G600 when I need to and I have no complaints but I want a good ergonomic fps mouse.
>>
>>51935327
Can't go wrong with this. I have a 700 and its handy, responsive, feels good in the hand. Has buttons that're useful without being goofy gimmick shit i.e. not in the way if you don't use them.

Battery isn't great, probably 8 or so hours on it but I use it wired.

Personally not into the Hz meme but I'm not a competitive gamer. As for TN vs. IPS, yes it does matter.

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is
in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free
component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs,
shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined
by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every
day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of
GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users
are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU
Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is
just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the
system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you
run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by
itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system.
Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the
whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the
so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

I have many issues with skype and microshit but all my friends use skype. Need an alternative that has skype features but isn't shit so that they can be converted

Need:
>voip that doesn't bomb your internet
>quality video chat
>text chat transfers between computers
>good group chat functionality

Said friends don't give a shit about privacy so encryption is only a bonus, not a selling point.

This is looking great so far, it may be exactly what we're looking for. This is also nifty since there are a lot of cases where people will need to be in a voip call only once or twice, so the browser functionality is good.

>>51933687
none of that looks bad, but how polished are they? couple of friends and I tried out tox earlier since we heard good things about it, but it's definitely not at that level of polish yet and is a bit buggy. I also need to emphasize the ease of use that's going to be required; my casual friends aren't gonna want to jump through hoops to get this shit to work

What's a good digital audio player?

-Budget: $100 (the more surplus the better; I'd like to buy other things)
-comes with decent stock earphones (otherwise I'd buy Piston 3s)
-must play OGG Vorbis (could care less about FLAC, but thou shall not separate me from my open format)
-can manage at least a workday of playtime while playing
-would really like it to scrobble
-a clip is also nice (since not all clothes I wear have pockets)
-good build quality is desired (I can buy cheap chink players by the dozen but would rather not)
-doesn't sound shit when listening to jazz and jazz accessories
-is at least competitive to my current setup involving Clementine and Turtlebeach Ear Force Shadow headphones

You know, something with which I can do what I have been doing, but do it outside or while cleaning. What have you got?
