Hey /g/

Some random gave me a "broken" plasma tv today.

TV comes on, lots of snow on the screen.

The Y SUS board has a hiss sound. Under better investigation, has a bad cap.

Think this is my primary problem?

Pic related.

Sorry if this post is better suited for DIY

It is in fact better suited for /diy/
>>
>>54384984
Probably better off posting this on >>>/diy/ohm/ but yeah that's often the problem with old TVs. Try testing the caps to see if they've failed open or closed first.
>>
Bet you it is, but check that the components immediately "upstream" from it aren't roasted too. Do those resistors have coated leads or are they actually that rusty? If they're rusty, check thoroughly for corroded traces. Nice score if it's just a cap.

Fuck, I can't get this to work. Yes I've tried google. Does anyone see any reason why the a href link wont work? It's giving me the error "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'comments' (T_STRING), expecting ',' or ';' in .... on line 25."

Can the Sandy Vagina hold up against the Skymeme in DX12?

Yes, now fuck off.

12 slightly weaker threads will destroy 8 barely stronger ones. Unless you can't oc the zeon
>>
>>54385088
>Unless you can't oc the zeon
You cant

People have already tried.

You CAN buy unlocked versions but they are rare
>>
>>54385088
But the 6700k can be overclocked to at least 4.8 GHz, but the Sandy Xeon E5s won't go over 3.6 GHz. And Skylake is at least 25% stronger per core than Sandy Bridge, and multithreaded performance is about 30% better than Sandy Bridge.

I'll make this quick. As I know, many of you are gamers, or were. I'm in the process of picking a CPU to play the Witcher 3 on a gaming laptop (yes, I know. got it. thanks). Do you think an Intel Skylake i7-6920HQ 2.9-3.6GHz is better than an i7-6700K 4.0-4.2GHz? Simple question that no one seems to fucking know and it's pissing me off. I've wasted hours searching the interbuttz & reading.. and the only help I got was jerking off to help me relax. So, anyone?

Is 16:10 masterrace dead? I really like having a bit of a higher monitor than it is wide.

It wasn't a masterrace in the first place lmao
>>
>>54383995

Not dead, but consumers prefer 16:9 for their media like movies. You can still buy 16:10 monitors for work, but you pay a premium.

I'm gonna make this quick as I'm getting a bit frustrated.
My PC is going on 10 years old. Built ages ago.
My GPU is an Nvidia GTX 260.

Tried to update my GPU driver today. It fucked my resolution (fixed), and isn't compatible with win 7 Aero anymore. I've since tried to revert back to an older driver, but now my PC no longer recognizes that I even have an Nvidia GPU installed on my PC.
How do I fix this? What do? Can't system restore it, as no restore points because I've got brain problems.
Thanks in advance.

Tho those of you who work for a living.

I am now fed up with working a hard physical job, and want to pursue my hobby as a job instead.

The courses i can take to kick-start this career are the following.

>Cisco Consultant - Network and security
>Maintenance of networks
>Networkadministrator Microsoft
>System engineer Microsoft

I've been leaning towards the Microsoft Engineer one, as it has the most certifications included in the course.

BUT

Which one of these will actually get me a job in the future?

I used to use a G9X, but the scroll wheel has been starting to break randomly. So I got a Mionix Castor mouse, and so far I love the way it feels. The only problem is that it's too loud. My ears actually start to feel a bit of pressure after using the mouse for a while without headphones.

Is there any way to silence the mouse clicking? Or perhaps even better, is there a way to fix the G9X's scroll wheel?

It's the same as the wide grip g9x. It just doesn't have the changeable body or weights. But it's the same sensor/wheel/wide body
