What exactly makes Mac computers so expensive??

What exactly makes them "better" or rather what are they better at?

I've been told
-no viruses
-no gradual decline in speed
-better for picture/video/music editing

You guys are the experts, you tell me.

looks, workmanship, best calibrated displays outta the box, best trackpad and certain software like coreaudio and logic, little snitch etc. which is mac only. Oh and no viruses unless you're pants on head retarded.

most of this is just their laptops though. Not quite sure why anyone would buy a macpro for that price.

>FSF invasion edition

Intended for users of all levels, including absolute beginners.

There are three ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:

1) Install a Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine) for "safety purposes"
2) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux (not recommended)

If you are serious about switching to Linux and if you have Windows dual-booted (recommended for pure newbies),
we recommend you use it exclusively for 2 weeks, and avoid Windows dual booting for that period of time, or it's likely you will start retreating back to Windows instead of getting used to GNU/Linux as your new home and working on
making it feel the way you want it.

>Recommended for beginners:

Before asking, please find the answers to your questions in resources.

Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.

Understand that much of your software from NSA/Windows will be unavailable, although maybe wine can make up for it. We do not encourage it since it encourages the usage of proprietary software.

>Why should i switch even if im an absolute noob with no experience with terminal commands and i usually play
video games

You shouldn't, I don't care if you do or don't use linux. I switched because win 7 was losing support and 8 was shit and I didn't want to use it. If you don't already have a genuine reason as to why you want to switch, then you won't be able to stick with it even if you do switch.

>What is GNUnet?
GNUnet is a fully decentralised p2p framework for a number of applications, the most commonly used one (probably) is filesharing
More info:
https://gnunet.org/goals
https://gnunet.org/concepts

>Why use GNUnet over private trackers?
Private trackers:
>have to keep up a seed ratio or you're thrown out
>have to attach an account to your searches and requests
>have to trust that the private tracker's owner won't leak your details anywhere
>uploading must be approved
GNUnet:
>no seeding requirement
>no account needed
>no trusted 3rd parties needed
>no way to trace any traffic back to you, unless you set anonymity to 0
>even just searching for content can be done via GNUnet's anonymous protocol
>anyone can publish anything
>no way for publishers to know who's downloading
>no way for downloaders to know who's publishing (except via optional namespaces)

>Sounds cool, where do I start?

Been trying to figure this bastard out a while and have drawn a blank.

Given a list of strings, and another singular string how can I test that the singular string contains all characters of listed strings in order. Not next to each other, but in the order they were in the individually listed strings.

Fuck this is a cunt to explain so:

String 1: abc
String 2: def

String 3: aqwdbuuefc <- would be true,

as both string 1 & 2's characters are there in the order they are in their individual strings.
