I got this lenovo y50-70 and it's pretty good, maybe you'll find it better choice
I think I may have an older version of this laptop. I bought it refurbished in 2013 for $900. It is still going strong. I only had to reimage the machine once (late 2015) to get the sluggish performace to go away, but other than that it has been a great machine and I cannot complain.
