I would use FreeBSD on my laptop but connecting to a wifi network is a pain
>>54752332
Nobody is using BSD.

Except that's wrong you fucking moron
Do you sometimes feel sad for some tech? Every time I scroll through Instagram and see the rover sending pictures I can't help but tear up about how lonely he must be up there.
lonely? I'd love to man one of those things, explore worlds that life forms are yet to corrupt. when I was young we'd waste weeks exploring just the neighborhood, I could kill a few decades roaming around on my own planet. if you need interaction, you can always call back home.

New to /ptg/? Have an enquiry? Consult the wiki before asking redundant questions

Or update it yourself if you have a problem with it. Then check Google. If you can't find an adequate answer, ask here.

Remember the following:
>tracker staff are known to browse and post in these threads - think twice before offering to trade, buy or sell invites and accounts here
>the same goes for publicly offering or accepting invites - even if staffers aren't watching, an anon may still report you
>around 95% of posters here chat shit - don't make any claims about sites based on "something you read here once" (this especially applies if a poster has a name/trip attached)

>not knowing when to start a new thread
Better kill the other one before you get reported, anon.

Is there really no better option for a PC chair around $300?
I don't care how it looks, it's just that these chairs are highly functional and seem fairly comfortable.
I know the super high end chairs like steelcase are the best but I don't want to pay that much for a chair.
It's just that the standard $100 leather office chair I currently have is crap overall after only a year and is starting to break.
What do you fuckers sit in?
most of these places have a 30 day return policy anyways right? Was thinking GT omega
The macbook of desk chairs.
Holy shit tech turds and gaymers are cut from the same cloth. Who would honestly sit in that gaudy looking piece of shit.

Still happy with my Nexus 5. Who needs a model post 2013 anyway? These things run fine and are a quarter of the price.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", lightweight
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Im going to Uni next year, and need a small laptop, i was thinking of a 2nd hand/refurb x1 carbon. i dont want to spend anything over £500 ($750), and need it for work with office, and casual gaming (e.g. Fifa, WoW)
>>54738189
If you just intend to use it for Uni, you could save a lot of money by getting an X220 with an IPS panel.
>>54738189
1st or 3rd gen X1Cs are /tpg/ approved. I don't know about gaming performance. 2nd gens are eschewed for some reason I can't remember.

Axon 7 is better in every way.
My Gigabyte mouse is dying so I need a new one. I don't need any l33t gamur mouse with 34 buttons on it. I mainly just want something that will last a long while and track motion well while being comfortable. I looked on the wiki and most of the mice cost $50+, with the exceptions being the Microsoft intelimouse. The reviews for those made it seem like they tend to break within a couple years.
Any other suggestions?
M500 seems like a good place to start
the redragon perditon is a:
>l33t gamur mouse with 34 buttons on it
and only costs $34
I ordered mine from Amazon with Amazon Prime and it arrived at my doorstep 11 hours later from another state 500 miles away. Ive had it 5 months. Solid mouse.
>>54760332
all those buttons get in the way and I end up bumping them accidentally. I want 5 buttons at most.
