Well /g/ents, I've been using Arch for awhile, and I'm bored. Gonna try out Gentoo on my desktop machine after I get home from work today. What is your experience with installing Gentoo? How is day-to-day use as compared to Arch?

What program language do you use for which cases?
I feel like I always used programming languages wrong until now. For example, my console GUI engine (TUI engine) I did in C.
People keep saying that for stuff like that, you should use Python or Ruby instead, but isn't Python just as much boilerplate?
Regardless, I think it's like this:

>Python/Ruby for shell scripts
>Java for GUI projects or programs that would rely on third party libraries
My next project is a really simple personalized chat AI for the shell. What language would you use for that?
C for embedded hardware programming
C++ when you need high performance
Java when you need to stay cross platform
Python for rapid prototyping and scripting
Swift for Appleshit things
C# for Microsoft things
This if you don't want to bet on modern programming languages (like Rust, Go and Scala).
My languages use cases :
C for embeded
Java for desktop GUI
Python for everything else
(I don't deal with mobile stuff)
I spent hundreds of hours learning other languages like C++/C#/PHP but I never use them.

Same here, actually. The Lollipop switcher is fucking awful.
Sony's recent apps menu has a shitty "small apps" bar that can't be removed, but I really like their app drawer. You can organize apps however you like (including moving them around freely) and have folders in there. AND it's incredibly light compared to other launchers.

The apps menu is very nice with some neat sorting options. Small apps I have never used, but at least they aren't shoved down your throat.

I have noticed Windows 10 is a lot faster than the previous versions of Windows. It's also a lot more secure with the new Windows Defender.
