How are IDE's supposed to be so "user friendly" compared to vim, emacs and sublime? They just look like a huge cluster fuck of features.
>>53282146
filters out the plebs
They're pretty poor really
>>53282146
My friends can't live without the refactoring thing. It lets them change variable/method names across their entire code base. Also, unit testing seems to be somewhat easier in an IDE. Other than that, I find IDEs get in the way.
It's as cancerous as you would expect

>The emphasis on knowing Java and JavaScript could put students of color on the bottom rung of the tech workforce.
What do you think, /g/?
Bottom run of tech industry is better than front row of welfare line.

First post best post
What's with the big push to teach kids how to program?
It's not like there's a shortage of people who can.
What are the advantages of using Arch compared to other distros besides the "you have more control of your system" meme?

learning the hard way
The AUR and pacman.

This, and you get to feel like a hacker (I'm being serious)
Thoughts on Chrome's meme "re-design"?

>But, if developers want to play games on their laptops, there’s a good chance they’ll need closed-source graphics drivers like those from Nvidia or AMD. Fedora has never officially supported these drivers due to its focus on free software, and has no plans to do so. However, the Fedora project would like to make the process of installing them less painful, and there will be a big conversation about that in the next...

we make the distros and we are the dreamers of the dreams
you will use the blob we provide for you and be happy for the opportunity to use it!
What the fuck does it change for you? The whole fight for free software is a joke, just like Gamergate.
>just like Gamergate
Gamergate are filled with children complaining about "MUH CENSORSHIP" in proprietary games.
What does /g/ think of Discord?
I'm getting the suspicion that they sell your data - they don't make it blatantly obvious that you can buy or purchase anything, I even had a difficult time locating something that I could purchase. There aren't any ads either, so I can only assume that their source of revenue is selling data.
>>53278926
What do you do in there,, seriously
>>53278946
It's voice chat, like TeamSpeak or $kype.
>>53278926
Well on its way to becoming the new Xfire. I think their business plan is to get popular then sell out to someone else who will then ruin the platform with ads everywhere.
In short I don't like it but that doesn't stop many of my friends moving to it because Valve is too busy making useless operating systems instead of improving their chat and voice.
Hey /g/ does anyone know why the cross product of 2 vectors is equal to the area of the parallelogram created by it. Also does anyone know the applications this could be used for?
This is /g/, not /sci/, we're here to discuss waifus, not maths
Look at the formula of the area of a parallelogram and then look at the formula for multiplying two vectors and draw conclusions from that. Otherwise, google your answer.
>>53278752
that's not even correct OP ffs...

>more than a year since first vivaldi release
>we will bring opera features to chrome reskins!
>pretty much 0 actual features was added
Why bother
>>53277124
I don't even know why vivaldi is a thing in this board. It's just some proprietary crap, another chromium based browser that brings nothing useful
>>53277124
Yet it has already more features than all the other browsers except Firefox and Opera 12.
It also isn't run by SJWs actively removing features and hasn't been updated the last time more than a year ago.
It's proprietary, yes. But definitely not crap.
You can also expect it to get better, which can't be said for all the other browsers.
>>53277767
>it has already more features than all the other browsers
Such as?
You don't seriously support net neutrality, do you?

They trade frequency for timing. Should have no issue.

I meant the voltage.
1.35V is way too high for memory.

Implement them. Repeat repeat repeat. When you've repeated enough, repeat once again. Then you'll be ready.
