Will wcd ever change from its pay2win model?

-Firefox work
-360p videos work in the browser
-all videos work when streamed via script
-retro games work
Anyone else does the same thing for their light computing?
>>52908071
>360p
Wow anon, living on the cutting edge
>>52908088
I can view better quality videos in kweb3 browser.
The point is 360p works directly in Firefox, so I don't have to switch browsers to watch my videos.
>>52908088
Any quality you want.
I lost my script to make screenshoots of frambuffer video. Scrot gives you black window.

Why is Gnome more popular than KDE?
>>52906405
ubuntu had this orange/brown theme when it first came out, and a lot of people liked it.
Stupid people stuck with ubuntu, and became gnome fanboys over time.
Gnome was almost dead before ubuntu came along.
Just one more reason to hate ubuntu.
>>52906405
Kde is garbage, slow, and looks bad. If you're gonna waste time ricing why not just go with xfce
>>52906512
except that you're wrong. kde is snappy as fuck on my x60
Just bought a new graphics card (Gtx 960) and found out I dont have any 6 pins connector to it from the psu. What the fuck should I do now? buy a new psu?
The box is an HP 8300 elite with proprietary psu and the motherboard is HP too. Is there any adapter I can buy to share the 6 pin connector which goes to the motherboard to the graphics card too?
pic: don't have that
>>52905927
Get a NZXT case for like 60 bucks and a RM650 for like 80
Seems like it's not worth it now but later when you want to upgrade it will be
you want molex to 6 pin, they're cheap as fuck and see if that will work.
>>52906012
Where should I connect the molex from? From the port that goes to the motherboard and therefrom to the graphics card?

>the software's creator has started urging people to stop using it in favor of HTML5 — but the player still persists in web ads across the internet. Fortunately, that may soon be about to end. Google has announced that from June 30th this year, its widely used AdWords and DoubleClick advertizing services will no longer allow uploads of ads built in Flash, forcing users to code their display ads in HTML5 instead. From January 2nd next year, Flash...

Thank god, flash ads are probably the number one source of malware on computers today, that buggy load of garbage should have never been allowed to be in ads in the first place

About fucking time, nothing like the feeling we are closer to the true death of flash: adobe is no longer working on it.
>>52905951
Personally I can't wait for flash to die

2016 is the year of the M.2 SSD.
Say goodbye to larger form factors for storage media, /g/.
Ahh yes all those M.2 SSDs that run at 90-100c because they have no heatsinks and cannot be 4tb like a 2.5"
>>52905203
Ideal setup:
> m.2 NVMe boot/applications drive
> 7200 rpm SATA HDD for >=4TB local store of shit like Steam games or whatever
> NAS with raid5/6 level redundacy for media and documents, using HDDs of course
> offsite automated backup
until SSDs have less than a 2x mark-up compared to HDDs and hiopt comparable capacities, HDDs aren't going anywhere.
5.25" bays...

What am I in for? I'm highly experienced with Linux but haven't really used BSD before.

install bash and GNOME and I bet you wont tell any difference.
>>52904914
I don't use Bash or GNOME on Linux so I probably would.
Experience somewhat alike to how Linux Distros used to handle, probably moar performance overall, less support for generic desktop tasks.
Something like that.

Hi, I bought A CLONE Everdirve GB flash cartridge a while ago from china. The price of a genune one is $88 US. and i found one for half that 40$ US on Taobao.com
The thing is, onve i put the GBOS.GB (i.e. the OS that runs the roms). I put the latest version (v3) which appaently blocks non-genuine Everdrives.
I don't want to buy a genuine one. I understand the the dude that developed it want's to profit from his work, and that the is against copyright laws, yada yada yada ... But i simply don't give a crap, i found a cheaper version, and this is...
