Pirate Bay visitors infected with crypto-ransomware via bad ads
>According to security firm Malwarebytes, the chief threats behind the attack on Pirate Bay users were the Magnitude exploit kit and a relatively new ransomware subscription service, Cerber.
>Ransomware attackers have been on a month-long malvertising rampage, targeting visitors to numerous porn and torrent sites to lead them to the Magnitude exploit kit.

>>54336685
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux,
is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux.
Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component
of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell
utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day,
without realizing it....

Loom up tutorials and whatever you do dont fall for the people that tell you to use these they only put extra pressure on your board and make it crack faster
4chan /g/ sticky needs some updates but it works well enough.
PUSH THE RAM IN. No, seriously, you're gonna have to push it in hard. Same with the cpu cooler when you're screwing it down.
Also, don't assemble it sitting down on a carpet.

pic is totally related
if you dont build it right that is what happens
>Use Bootstrap to quickly build a website from scratch
>Someone is constantly complaining that the website is broken as fuck
>Spend a few hours trying to fix it, no fucking idea what is going on since the site is fine even in Internet Explorer 8
>They post a screenshot
>They have their NoScript enabled on the site
>tfw every fucking site with one or three pages of simple information uses javascript to render
>tfw there is no reason to use JS, it is not faster, not easier to develop, not easier to maintenance
>tfw big companies (like twitter or facebook) pushing JS forward with the force of cargo train
>>54335913
Site is working perfectly fine without Javascript, seeing as JS is there just for the fancy stuff
The problem was also that they had CSS blocked, which my NoScript doesn't.
I simply use a "stop being an autistic neckbeard" type <no script> overlay with 10vw width, so it is immediately apart to the retard.
Can an Android phone ever be compared to an iPhone?
That includes price and consistent performance There is nothing that my G3 can't do, that the next gen Androids could, and iPhones have no purpose anyway.
what's the question again?
>consistent performance
android phones are made by different manufacturers all over the board. There's no consistency at all, hardware or software
>>54335837
The question is if an iPhone can compete with an android phone, despite its huge disadvantage in practicality.
no
an iPhone is an iPhone
an android is just a phone

Yeah based Opera, they even released a newer version of Opera presto a few months ago (Opera 12.18)
If only someone ported uBlock into Opera presto...

>I would rather join the Chinese Botnet than the American one.
>Chinese over American
dude, the Chinese will literally cook you and eat you.
no, that's wrong, what am i saying, the Chinese won't even cook you before they eat you.
no, still way wrong, the Chinese won't even wait for you to die before they literally start eating you.
So my friend upgraded to Windows 10 on his Laptop yesterday and let me try it out. It seems pretty nice but I'm still slightly worried about all the spying stuff everyone on 4chan /g/ is talking about. Does it really spy on you that much? I think a lot of it is bullshit but I still want to hear other peoples' opinions on Microsoft Windows 10.
>>54335250
If you're using XP or above you're already giving them the same amount of metadata that 10 collects. It's non personal and untrackable data that in absolutely NO way can be traced back to anyone. NOBODY should let all this baseless FUD paranoia prevent them from taking advantage of a completely free upgrade to Microsoft's best work yet.
>>54335257
I've used Windows 10 for a while and I think it's pretty decent too. Also it doesn't "spy" on you like all the paranoids with a grudge against Microsoft would have you believe. Don't let them fool you. Windows 10 is the most secure operating system ever released by Microsoft. The only thing Microsoft even gathers is its just standard minimal error reporting data. Almost any program nowadays does that, including OSX and Linux.
speaking of this, i'm trying to find a program that stopped all that tracking shit g was saying is essential for anyone using windows 10 that doesnt want to be tracked, anyone heard of it?

Should I get LG HG2 or NCR18650B for muh XML T6.
What's the /csg/ starter kit?
I can't decide between these two. Yeah the Noctua is going to be quieter with similar performance but I'm running an SLI setup and like the idea of the CPU heat be isolated and removed from the case by the AIO. Thoughts?
>>54335019
AIOs perform best with the rad mounted as an intake, so unless you're ok with cooling your CPU with warm air you're not really moving the heat out of the case anyway.
That said, while I don't have an SLI setup I do have basically the same cooler, and I can say that as long as your case has good ventilation it'll probably be fine either way
>>54335019
Noctura is quiet as shit i have my case open all the time (Aus shits hot all the time)
oldass cooler from 2009 i got adapter plates for my NH-U12 is quiet and runs awesome
That said Water coolers are coming down in price.
Up to you i personally have always run air
>>54335019
I'm a silencefag so I'll always take the aircoolers like Noctua that are powerful but quiet. AIO always worries me because of possible pump noise.
I'd always pick an air cooler over an AIO to be honest, even forgetting about noise. There's no need to worry about "isolation" because either way the heat from the CPU gets moved out the case instead of circulating. Also Noctua will always give you free conversion brackets for future sockets with proof of purchase so it's not...
