What's a chink phone I can get that costs 150 or less, has a screen that's five inches or less and isn't a total piece of shit.

I need something to outdo my current iphone 4.

Lads, I just spent 3 hours trying to troubleshoot why I wasn't able to flash my new RMN3P. Turns out I was just holding down power+volume-up instead of power+volume-down...

But anyways it says that the device is locked so it can't flash the ROM. I thought that the global ROM doesn't require unlocking from xiaomi?

Hello /g/ents, the youtube reviewer from yesterday here, what should I review next? I have a U8S smartwatch and a bunch of other stuff coming through in post. Send me some links of stuff you want reviewing from Gearbest or Ebay and I'll consider purchasing them.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNEcL1eSr7FeA4RMQE6UXxg

Here is the channel, feel free to subscribe, replies and feedback welcome, Im always willing to change things up.

My most recent upgrade, will set it up as soon as I get my hands on a cheap ADC.

I already did a physical review of the mic, will do an audio comparison soon.

Gearbest aren't giving me my points back. After they told me to fuck off because I cut the cake much more than three times, I sent them this on another anon's advice:

>Dear Gearbest
>Thank you for your reply. I understand your view that most people can only cut a cake three times. However, as a trained pastry chef schooled in the Austrian tradition in Vienna I am capable of cutting a cake into hundreds or even thousands of pieces, each smaller than the last.
>In light of this information I respectfully request that you reconsider your decision.
>I look forward to hearing from you.

I got this reply

>Dear Faglord,
>Thank you very much for your recent inquiry.
>Our activity rule is to cut the cake 3 times, but you cut it for thousands of times, we are really very sorry that we are unable to give you so many points for one activity. So we have removed the points from your account.
>For more information about points, please check:http://www.gearbest.com/about/about-points.html

The dream is over. If any other anons try to scam their scammed Good Boy Points back and their ticket gets assigned to "Bess", you might want to just open a new ticket and hope you get a more malleable Chinaman with a fake Engrish name.
>>
>>54277341
Why not just post reviews with video? You get like 140 points per review if its a non-reviewed product.
>>
>>54277341
Lol'd Why didn't you take the past threads advice by pretending they're points from their Mom promo though?
>>
>>54277380
I scammed about 7,000 Good Boy Points from the cake game. I'm not uploading 50 Youtube reviews for USB cables.
>>
>>54277391
I did. "Bess" knew that was bullshit.
Basically if your ticket gets assigned to her just close it and open a new one in the hope that you get "Titus" or "Meredith" instead.
>>
>>54277429
How many things did you order? For me it says this under My reviews;

>You can still earn an extra 1600 points by submitting reviews for other products you have purchased. This is equal to $32.00credit.

Doesn't necessarily have to be video reviews, just text + pic is enough to get plenty.

Interesting. All of my items were <$10 - I ordered a shitload of USB cables, a 64GB shark and a bunch of other low-value crap. It seems you went the other way and got a single relatively big-ticket item, so it's not as though they're just going round and purging the ones who fucked them over by getting the low-margin stuff.

>>54277550
Did you actually write proper reviews or just shitpost three words in the pro box and "none" in the con one? I found that the ones where I actually reviewed the item get stuck, whereas when I just write

You can only do it so many times before you get your address blacklisted. If you've noticed, a lot of these "different" stores are just multiple fronts of one company/group of workers. So even if AE doesn't screw you, you can still end up on a no-ship list.

Mini M8S TV Box anon here with some discoveries:
- The box doesn't seem to support the XBOX 360 controller. Looking at dmesg I think the driver is not compiled into the kernel.
- The system seems to kill every single application in the background, so no spotify in the background without hacking. To fix this, you need to ssh into the box, became root, remount /system as rw and delete this file: /system/etc/allowbackgroundapp.list
- The Google Play Services error can be easily fixed by simply manually installing an updated apk. I installed this, works fine: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/google-play-services-8-7-03-release/google-play-services-8-7-03-2645110-248-android-apk-download/
- All launchers are shit for TV and the chink one that comes shipped with the box looks like ass. The Google official "Android TV Launcher" app doesn't work on this box.
- There are surprisingly few bloatware preinstalled, no sign of any malware.

It's very cheap, and if you buy properly it's perfectly high quality.

also this is a tech forum and this stuff is a bit like the wild west. It's fun.

Now go buy some animoo socks and a tablet that might give you SARS
>>
>>54280520

when i look at crap that costs less than $20 and has free shipping, I can just purchase it without thinking about whether or not it's a good decision.

Often, it's not even a terrible decision.

Any time I buy something more than $20, have to pay shipping and have to pay 13% tax, I have to put a lot of thought into the purchase.

And half the time t's the same or worse quality than the chink shit.

Consumer whoring is fun. And it's fun to spend $25 and have a box FULL of cool shit show up at your door. Some might not work, but you'll still be out ahead in the end.
>>
>>54280520

As Western currencies have a lot more buying power then the RMB shit is cheap as.

Furthermore you can get a lot more bang for your buck as the Chink stuff doesn't have a brand name premium slapped on it.

Lastly the Chinese culture means they have a lot of weird shit we wouldn't think of or find feasible so we have access to goods we wouldn't normally have access to.

The one downside is that the products and shipping can be a bit of a gamble, which is why I think /CSG/ is fun.

Should really rename it Chinese Gambling General

What model do you have?

Just bought into the PSP meme myself, feels good man.

I was a bit surprised that those dual microSD to MS Pro Duo adapters actually work, right now I've got a 32GB + 32GB = 64 GB usable setup, but I got a pair of 64 gb sharks on the way.

If I get a raise at work I might just go full retard eventually and get a pair of 200 GB ones for the god-tier 400 GB of dankness. Will probably only play 16 GB of games regularly anyways, but should impress my little cousins and internet strangers.

idk, if you have a better idea let me know. I'm all for getting back into playing games on them, especially because I've yet to find anything entertaining on my phone that's not obtuse as fuck due to touch controls...

---
http://www.gearbest.com/memory-cards/pp_340788.html

Pros:

Tested on PSP-1000 PHAT, 5.50 Prometheus.
- Advertised product
- Supports solo cards at least upto 64GB SDXC.
- Works with PSP in both slots:
1. Format on PC (assuming you have no partitions) using Active@ or Win Disk Management, or Linux program.
2. Put into PSP. PSP will say it is unreadable, and needs to format.
3. Format the card using PSP (Settings -> System Settings -> Format Memory Stick).
4. Now both cards will be usable!

NOTICE!!
If Duo read light is blinking not fast but continuously for moments, take out the card and put it back in. System should read it properly.

Cons:
- Bit difficult to setup dual-reading, but simply follow guide in pros.
