Is Vivaldi here to restore Opera's former glory?
or is it just a shit browser?
>>55340282
It's chromium based.
You decide
>>55340343
Soooooo....botnet?
>>55340396
Yeah, and I really wish I was meming.
Google has already been caught slipping binaries into Chromium, no guarantee they're removed by third party projects.
Alright so I'm making a new build soon and I am probably going for the RX 480. But will the 970 be around the same price in a few weeks time? Which will be better buy?
The 970. Similar performance, similar power consumption, superior NVidia-exclusive features and functional drivers.
Also it wont fry your motherboard.
>>55340050
rx 480 gets better with age:
-amd sucks at early drivers, usually improves 20% with time
-new architecture magnifies this effect
-power issues vanish with non-reference models
-cooling issues same
-More and more games are gonna use DX12
-More VRAM
Since today the 480 is equal/marginally better and cheaper I don't think there will ever be any point in the 970.
Nvidia gimps their old cards
The 480 will only get better with driver updates
I don't understand the RAM. My motherboard supports 3866Mhz of DDR4 (ASUS Z170-Pro), but my CPU (i7 6700K) only supports "DDR4-1866/2133"
So I bought a Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz.
I can use the 3200Mhz or I will only can use the 1866/2133 that my CPU can support?
I enable XMP and OC the memory but in CPU-Z it says that I only have one half of the Hz which I selected. If in XMP I select 3000Mhz in CPU-Z I only get 1500Mhz.
I don't understand how DDR4 works
>>55340047
Google it, this isn't tech support.
>>55340047
No, you clearly do not
CPU to RAM clock can be asynchronous.
DDR means double data rate. For every real clock tick the RAM can transfer data in both directions which makes it double the click effectively.
This is explained by me, a total retard in his own layman terms, correct me it i'm wrong please.

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Ok /g/
not quite sure this is the place to ask, but fuck it.
I want to vent off all my computers outtake and try to vent it down to a circulation vent. However, I have the issue that i know nothing of ductwork or low power silent fans that just shift air.
The goal is to vent all the hardwares hot air out of my room entirely.
Anyone do this / have experience with this / has any clue what I'm looking for? Im looking for something that could be on 24/7
>>55339920
Pictures op, let us see your setup
>>55339920
Depends on how nice you want it to look. You trying to divert it into a return to be cycled through your central ac?
>>55340148
found out card reader is dead, this is as good as i got till i get a new one.
the intake and outtake for the room are about 150mm by 400mm
the two squares are desks, there is space between them and the wall
>>55340755
honestly not 100% sure on how the set up for the house works, i know there is a vent that blows into the room and a return that should blow out, but its inefficient at this to the point that it may as well be covered.

So,
I recently noticed TrueCrypt was unsafe now.
What should I use now ? What do you guys use ?
have you lived in a cave for the past 2 years?

Seriously, this is it. This is the best smart device of 2013 and quite possibly 2014.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

It's over Nvidiots are finished.
It's fucking beautiful.
Naturally only animufags actually do fun stuff.

And third party ones with good ASIC % quality and proper VRM/mosfets should hit 1500 at least.
1500+ golden samples will probably cost $300 though, which sucks.
The right side looks like he is holding a candy bar. So what is it going to be called /g/?
>>55339759
Nuts

Nougat you fag.

When converting from WAV to FLAC, how can I know that the conversion is actually lossless?
>>55339744
Convert from FLAC back to WAV, export the raw PCM from both the transcoded WAV and the original WAV, diff the raw data
>>55339753
How do I do that? Can something like audacity do it?
Compression levels
libFLAC uses a compression level parameter that varies from 0 (fastest) to 8 (smallest). The compressed files are always perfect, lossless representations of the original data. Although the compression process involves a tradeoff between speed and size, the decoding process is always quite fast and not very dependent on the level of compression.
I have a XFX r9 280x currently; im just wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to the 480
Not until AMD finds a way to stop the cards from drawing way too much power from the PCI-e slot.
>>55339727
You should give it another couple of weeks to make a decision. Partner boards will reveal how Polaris really performs, and by that time, we may see a 1060 launch, which could be better value.
>weaker than a 390
>on par with a 970
>Literal housefire
>PCIe 200W draw (might force AMD to issue refunds)
>same price as the 970/390
Is this a bigger blunder than the Fury cards?
>comparing on a resolution where none of the cards are meant for
>10 fps more on 1080p then 970
>>55339696
970/480 ~= 8% difference
480/390 ~= 5% difference
If 480 is weaker than 390, then shouldn't 480 be stronger than 970?
Did OP fail basic math?
OP, those benchmarks are of a reference stock 480 vs a aftermarket overclocked 390.
Once we get aftermarket 480s, the gap between the 390 will close and perhaps even be exceeded.

Boring as hell.

Might get you a job afterwards.

Oh well, DBs are fun.
But it depends on how "low level " you have to start? If you have to low level shit like "how to lock pages" I wouldn't do it.
