>>51622557
punch him to death. Might take a while getting through his neck forest and fat desert, tough.
nothing, for it is an honor to get cu.cked by the almighty Stallman
Shove a fucking HDMI chip under his nipple. He will forever be filled with non-free hardware.
I hear win 10 has been forced on some people, and even if I ignore it it's going to sit in my taskbar. How do I make it go away and never return, /g/?
Uninstall some updates. That you can Google yourself
>>51622532
The easiest way is to make yourself go away and never return
>>51622532
>Take out hard drive
>Throw in trash
Only way to make it go away.
Hey /g/ is there anything I can do with this box cameras?
nudes
*Box of cameras. Shit.
Take a pic of your legs
I suspect one of my computers has a keylogger on it. How could I confirm this? I have the file.
If I can confirm it is a keylogger I know exactly who put it on my laptop.
Does anybody have any ideas to how I can identify what it is?
>>51622377
>I have the file.
The log file, or executable itself?
Check the task manager, duh
>>51622396
The exe.
It is a rundll32.exe that appeared on my desktop.
Malwarebytes detected it as malware, but when I google the definition I cannot find anything.
if i run my browser in a sandbox, does that mean i can freely allow flash/javascript, since everything is contained? why don't more people suggest sandboxing their browsers for security?
>>51622375
>if i run my browser in a sandbox, does that mean i can freely allow flash/javascript, since everything is contained?
yes altho it should be noted that even sandboxes can be broken out of.
so nothing is guaranteed but it is better. its another layer.
>why don't more people suggest sandboxing their browsers for security?
dont know, maybe cos its one more step and people are lazy?
>>51622375
Browsers are already run in a sandbox.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experienceâ„¢
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size

Just bought a T430
i7-3520m
no RAM (got seller to discount for taking the 4gb that was there out)
500GB HDD
What kind of RAM should I get? I want 16GB.
What kind of SSD can I get while keeping the HDD?
>>51622455
Really, the cheapest 2x8GB kit you can get will work. In this day and age, pretty much all DIMMs are made equal.
Also, if you but the ultrabay SATA compartment, you can insert any SATA SSD you would like and keep the HDD it came with. The other option is to install an mSATA SSD, but those tend to be a little bit more expensive and a little but more finicky.
>>51622455
You can get an mSATA SSD assuming you don't have a WWAN card. Not sure if the --30s had SATA 3 speeds for that yet or if it's still SATA 2 like the --20s, though.
Is this botnet?
this is SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Looks like a black berry

All phones are botnet
You just have to chose the least shitty one
Hello /g/entoomen,
I'm going to be installing windows 7 or 8 on my new hard drive when it comes in a few days. I use gnu/linux for 99% of my day-to-day tasks, but it's not possible to drop windows for gaymen just yet.
I've looked for a list of updates to block in windows 7 and 8.1 to block the windows telemetry and have seen only a lot of old info that's probably missing most of the newest updates that push this "upgrade" on you. Is there some complete list that is kept up to date? I didn't see any list on the wiki. Supposedly...

Should read "have" not "to not have."

i would also like to know of what this faggot asks
I just defragged my SSD this morning and since then I've noticed a huge improvement in my transfer speeds.
Why doesn't /g/ defrag their SSDs regularly?
Did you also try to transcode all your flacs to mp3 for further performance boosts?
>>51621954
>fstrim
>>51621954
I defrag mine every day anon
What are some problems that Windows 10 has? Let's push aside the privacy issues and focus on the other issues. I do use Windows 10 but I also appreciate some things about Linux and OSX.
For one, the DE is an inconsistent mess. Sure the latest update fixed some context menu colors but some are still a different shade of grey or just the usual white. The multiple settings programs are awful. Anything useful is usually under "additional settings" which just launches the old control panel program. The action center is fucking useless. It doesn't really...

unless you consider having an awesome OS that just works and does whatever you could ever want to be a problem
>>51621909
Why would Windows have native SSH. It doesn't even have a native SSH server.
>>51621909
Not my OS anymore, but for starters:
Windows doesn't have a manual. No equivalent of man or info in Unix. There aren't any reference resources bundled with the system.
Googling up Technet or MSDN doesn't count.
>mom got me Surface Pro 4 as an early xmas gift

return it and pay the difference for the 256GB model you fucking moron, she will never know for sure anyways.

Hey /g/. How would one make an absolutely anonymous call? No skype, because if they get a court order, they'll give up your usename. And also some caller ID's can see its a skype number.
I'm talking. Really. Anonymous.
go to nearest phone booth and call from there

You realize this isn't SATA right? You have a board that supports NVMe right?
>>51621759
I have an X99A board, with a 5960x. I currently have the M.2 to U.2 adapter for such device.
