Will/Is the steam machine a good alternative for gaming?
I would rather run a Linux system proper (freedom), but I still enjoy playing games.
Yes. Don't support the console industry when Steam machines are an option. Consoles are just locked down personal computers with proprietary everything. Who wants to deal with game discs anyways? Also, cloud save files are legit.
why would you run an operating system that literally only limits the games you can play, forces you to use steam, and offers none of the benefits of just using windows?
fuck off back to /r/pcmasterrace where everyone will jerk off to valve
>Implying steam machines are not exactly the same thing as a console
Just get a PC and hook it to your tv. Use a wireless keyboard/mouse/controller. You'll get something way better than a steam machine.
Traded my xbox one for this computer. The computer has a hard time keeping up with games, What parts should I upgrade.
im i too late to buy i5 haswell when skylake and ddr4 are in the picture?
So what is it /g/? Do you turn your computer off at night?
I do but if I leave for an hour or two I just put it on sleep. I have an ssd so in reality it doesn't really matter if I turn it off, I would just need to put in my password.
>he doesn't use geany
Why is /g/ so retarded ? You all insist on using a shit bloated text editor that was developed by a fat neckbeard and his autistic friends. It's light weight and yet will always be more practical than emacs.
Hello fellow geany bro
I use geany because most other IDEs are heavy as fuck, and too difficult to use. Geany's plain, straightforward and hassle free
>mfw accidentally updated to the latest version of clover
Newfag here, I wanna get started with programming. Which language do I learn first and why?
Most importantly, it doesn't matter all that much. Most of the general concepts are very much transferrable between most languages.
My recommendations would be Python, Lua or C. Just pick anything that's at least semi-popular and start learning it. Don't waste too much time cherrypicking the "right" one to learn first.
On a scale of 1 to JUST how badly have I fucked up?
Kyoko have 2 monitors setup
what's your excuse for using only one monitor?
I have a second monitor that I keep off and set to single monitor in Windows.
I would turn in CS:GO and it would switch to my 2nd monitor despite the game running in fullscreen mode.
2nd monitor colors so shit and 60hz so aids compared to new monitor I don't even want to put anything over there.
Extra performance? Because CS:GO sure as fuck doesn't have any of that.
I never did look up the monitor switching thing while aiming too fast tho.
Why did it fail, /g/?

Why are tech reviews and in general tech videos feel like one big shill video?
Take Linux Tech Tips for example, when you watch any of his reviews it's like watching a paid actor shill some product. It's horrible to watch.
>Take Linux Tech Tips for example, when you watch any of his reviews it's like watching a paid actor shill some product.
It's because he IS a shill. Actually.
Dual gpu masterrace report in.
Can someone explain what AFR friendly mode is for crossfire profiles and when to use it?
When I use the default mode in Hatred, performance is pure shit. Enabling AFR gives a massive FPS boost and no visible issues.
People report almost 200% fps scaling with AFR in witcher 3, compared to default that's just a bit better than one card.
Do you just try everything if default profiles are bad?
Also why does Battlefront still have no crossfire support? I thought Frostbyte is great for that.
Should i switch from EE to computer science if math is to hard for me?
