My logs are filled and filled with this same asshole trying to hack my computer via ssh. I've already disabled password authentication and root login for sshd. If it's your personal machine, and you don't use SSH for anything, just turn off your ssh daemon. In all other cases install Fail2ban and set it up to permaban any IP that fails 3 logins in a row.

I do use ssh quite a bit though. And fail2ban isn't going to do anything that those firewall rules should be doing already right? It's just going to add that IP to the blocklist, which I've already done.
I just don't understand why those requests are making it through to sshd when they should be dropped at the firewall.

You could try redirecting his requests from your ip to 127.0.0.1 so his requests just take him back to his localhost.
I've used this in the past when my friends were trying to take down my fileserver/seedbox that I run out of old laptop in my room. It works reasonably well.

The frogposter is right. This shit is getting ridiculous. We could easily make 4.5 inch smartphones that would be more comfortable, have a killer DPI, and better battery life. (Also would probably survive impact more often)
Instead we get these 5.5 inch minimum phones if we want a quality smartphone.
I love my LG G4. Don't get me wrong. It's a great device and apart from a few LG rom problems I have, no mistakes coming from my nexus 5.
But I look back to my Nexus 4 and I just think (man, that was a great phone. if I could get a phone in between that and my N5, I'd be fucking happy as hell)

Where is the market for functional laptops?
We have a choice between A) plastic trashpiles with obsolete hardware and 1366x768 screens, B) (admittedly well made) MacBooks and their clones - which can't be modified or repaired in any way, or C) half baked gimmicks like convertibles and tablets with cheap keyboards.
Where does a person get a non-trash, non-soldered, non-gimmick laptop in 2015 going on 2016? I understand the margins aren't there for a functional market but I don't want to spend $1500+ for good hardware and build quality saddled with "value adds" like touchscreens and pens and shit.

I'm a complete newfag to linux. I have dual boot for windows and linux mint 17.2. My VPN client works fine on windows. I also have it on linux and connect through openvpn through terminal. It connects but I I can't get any websites to load with Firefox or opera. Any advice on how to fix? Please forgive my newfagginess. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had this issue too with Linux Mint. I am able to connect via terminal in other distros no problem, but I can't in mint. Fortunately I found a work around in mint that worked for me.
For some reason 4chan thinks this is spam so just replace the spaces with dots.

Just follow this guide but instead of HMA just use your vpn's CA certs etc. I couldn't ever get it to work in the terminal but I could via GUI.
