Do these anti-technology videos piss anyone else off? It seems as if only tech illiterate millennials, teenage cock suckers and old people like these videos.

If the newest and greatest technology is so important why does everybody in Paris drive manual, even in the city?
>>51781418
Because manual is mechanically simple, hard to break unless you mess with the clutch too much, and the automatragic market isn't as strong overseas as it is in America.
>>51781418
Because they don't want americans driving on their streets

Is it safe to underclock my GPU?
Specifically, I want to use MSI Afterburner to lower the Core Clock and Memory Clock to the minimum. I would not be adjusting the Core Voltage.
I'm not particularly interested in it, but is it safe to underclock a CPU if you don't adjust the voltage as well?
From what I've read, only adjusting the voltage will damage it

When I leave my computer on overnight to download things I figure I may as well use as few resources as possible. I noticed using one monitor lowered my temp by 5+C AND lower my fan 10% so why not use even less?

Start by making programing challenges, then see the results and give him advice on things to improve and learn.
Get him an audrino or RPi for christmas.

Letting him feel the rush of solving a problem.
Get him started early with things like recursion, pointer manipulation, and main loops/event processing.
If he's young enough, he'll be able to both become comfortable with pointers, and learn to never use them before he gets to college.
suck his dick
Any DTA fans here?

>You wouldn't download the mall
I've tried it before but didn't find a use for it. I usually download a single file, choose where to save it and it starts downloading. Would I benefit from using it?
>>51781980
> I usually download a single file,
Well obviously a program made for mass downloading isn't fit for that situation.

lubuntu here, pretty sleek
I used and still like awesome.
I installed Debian 8 with cinnamon, which has been good. I like a more mainstream desktop WM because it seems more well-rounded. It was a PITA to think about customizing awesome to get like multimedia keys to work or easily connect to networks, change resolutions, etc...

Recent purchases thread?
The odder the better.
Just got 4 i7 860s.
For what purpose?
I buy nothing but bump for interest
>>51780965
They're still great chips. I'm running an X3450.
You just have to keep in mind that they're the same speed as an Athlon X4 860k, so as long as you're not spending more for a Lynnfield i7 + a LGA 1155 board than an 860k + FM2, you've come out ahead.
I suppose my odd purchase would be that X3450/16GB 1U that I ... modified.
I'm in the xmas spirit, First 3 people to reply will get referred for a free newegg premier membership.

hi
need an expert opinion. I have a i7 2600k, I have the option of upgrading to fx 9590, Do i need an upgrade or should I keep the cpu? I'm upgrading my pc, getting a gtx 980 ti and low on budget.
Keep the 2600k. The 9590 will use way more power and only just be marginally better. You won't notice anything different between the two.
Put a space heater in your and crank it all the way up whenever your computer is on. It achieves the same results.
>>51780735
>"upgrading" to fx 9590

comfy and laid back but boring
He used thermal paste instead of soldering the heatsink to the CPU for a 1:1 metal to metal contact for maximum heat transfer and dissipation.
