what happened after the happening (server got seized)
Do you guys use a password manager? Which one?
It's pretty reliable if you keep it safe from physical damage
Preorders for the Rift go live at 8 AM on January 6th. With still no price announcement, and an inevitable inability of the website to facilitate the traffic. Are you going to preorder with the option to cancel? Waiting for more info? Fuck the VR memes?
No, I hate VR. My uncle is really into it and has devkits and gear vr and made my whole family try them this holiday but it was nauseauting and dissapointing and also pointless and uncomfortable. I also had to keep turning around 180 degrees which is aggravating after a long day when i just want to look forward. Cant wait until this meme dissapears desu
I've got a desk top pc which I use for everything major, but recently I've been thinking of getting a cheap laptop. Just something to do word processing, search the internet, watch videos and simple shit like that while I'm out and around or when I want to sit somewhere other than in my little desktop corner.
However, I have VERY limited knowledge of mobile electronics these days so I'm not sure what kind of stuff I should look for. I want it to be able to play video at high definitions and search the internet without lagging the fuck out, but I don't need or want to be able to play games on it or anything. One of those dis-connectable or rotatable tablet things seem neat, but I don't want to end up paying out the ass for that feature. I'd prefer to avoid windows 10 and it's orwellian monitoring of my every move, but I'm not sure I can do that without pirating an older version of windows and uninstalling the current one, since everything is running 10 these days.
I'm not gonna ask you to go do the searching for me, but I was hoping you could give me some tips as to what I should look out for? I built a Desktop via /g/ and the help of some specific sites tailored to the subject, but I can't find any similar help for this. Info seems scarce and badly tainted in many cases.
Order a ThinkPad directly from Lenovo. This way, you can select a downgrade license to Windows 7 when customizing your device. This should be available for most models, and pretty much all business laptops.
In the future, consider posting simple questions in threads like this: >>52230028
Heh, I actually ended up getting the Lenovo - IdeaPad 100s. I guess I wasn't too far off.
How do we help Gabe get his shit together and make Linux / SteamOS good gaming platform?
In future, when mobile pushes desktop to the edge of relevance, living room will be important foothold.
I still don't understand the purpose of steamOS
Windows has and probably always will work better for video games
The controller's actually pretty neat though, so they should have just stuck to that and the VR stuff
It's to "living room computers" (read: manufactured or DIY consoles) what Android is to mobile phones.
OEM doesn't have to put it's own OS together because it's freely available and Valve gets revenue from integrated store.
Is Linux the fastest operating system?
>download an mp3 via the browser >click the mp3 via the "download finished" notification
>Poweramp doesn't show up as an option
>Blackplayer doesn't show up as an option >none of the audio players show up in the Android file prompt
>however, VLC shows up as an option
>it plays the mp3 perfectly >not only that, it has already scanned the mp3 into its catalog for future playback

What's /g/'s consensus on old 3.5" hard drives? Mine still work great but they're just not worth plugging in as an external for just 80 GB of storage when I have a 1-4 TB 2.5" externals now. Should I just throw them in the trash?
Feels good to be a faggot
Hey /g/ what are your tips for living in a botnet free life? What are the programs you use and everything ?
I opened up /g/ to make a thread similar to this but with pic related. What algorithm's do 4chan use to decide what threads you see?
>tfw last 3 years of work on refining encryption for 4k content down the drain because of required government backdoors
Why aren't you using the best android browser?
>ad block, no root required
>not ugly like firefox
>excellent optimization for snapdragon devices
Samshit, chinkshit, and ifags please refrain from commenting.
Last time I tried, liquid came out.
