Got 5 bucks in rewards from google. What are some recommended apps that you need to pay for? I never pay for apps but it'd be nice not.to.to through the hassle of finding cracked versions of all my shit.

why not just kill yourself?
>computer science is getting so saturated that women are making up a large percentage of undergrads now
So glad I chose CE. Might not be many of us but that's not a bad thing.
Yes, OP you deserve to be alone

I have a MSc in CS
I work as a hardware engineer.
CS is so saturated that we're leaking over into CE and EE domain now.

Ruby rockstars really aren't that tough now are they?

is that haskell example seriously claiming to be terse and/or beautiful?
Neither of those is a proper quicksort.
But you are right: Haskell is far more terse than Ruby. Haskell is the tersest language I know of that is even vaguely practical.
I want someone to post the equivalent in java so that I can laugh at them, and then cry myself to sleep because I work in java.

I'm trying to go GAPS free and i really use this for my notes, what do u recommend /g/ ?
I use Jota text editor to edit text-files stored in my dropbox. Simple and flexible.
There is no proper open source alternative to Keep that works as swiftly.
If Keep is benefiting your quality of life, why stop using it? Assuming you're not looking for validation by going GAPPS free, just install Keep and no other ones.
ColorNote
Does this look broken and can I fix it?
Replace the caps.
while not as efficient, a lighter is a cheaper way to burn down your house

it looks like someone never bothered to break off those golden teeth bits beside the fan cable. They'll be hindering performance as they reduce the IO speed, if you cut them off the electric signals have less far to go so it'll work faster and the signal will have less interference so you'll get a better quality image too
What are some good ones to ask fresh grads applying for something rather algorithmic (i.e. not code monkeying)?

"Is the is are?"
Reverse the words in a string, and make sure to use a constant amount of extra storage

Do you sell your shit on craigslist? Have you ever been mugged and/or raped in the process?
Sold tons of stuff on CL and everyone I've dealt with have been normal, well-adjusted people.
>>53327020
I live in a country where Craig didn't set up a list but raping still goes on, hope that helps.
Never had anything go wrong. Even sold a blacklisted iPhone once. Bought a 7950 for $70 once. Still works completely fine. Have also sold old computer hardware, no issues ever.
What's advantages does BSD have over Ganoo?
None, it's shit

Backups to my equally slow and old external drive usually copy with ~40MB/s.

Is it a good idea to install a linux distro on a laptop? I remember installing ubuntu years ago and the laptop would get hot after a while and the battery last way less than in windows.
it's always a good idea to install linux on a laptop. I am currently using lubuntu on a toshiba sattelite and I am a better man for it.
Lightweight distros shouldn't be much trouble on a laptop.

would it be a good idea to but ubuntu on a laptop with i3 cpu and 4gb ram?
Install windows 10 it just works
>>53325794
that's what you get for installing windows
You are doing it wrong.
Faulty hardware or corrupt installation.
Can't blame Windows for it.
Nice fake image. Windows works perfectly.
what should i get for 85$ on amazon
I wish waifus are 85 dollars.
Save it up.

are you my boyfriend?
How does /g/ sort their meme pictures?
I've got 3GiB of files, and I'm currently sorting them into folders.
The problem I'm encountering though, is that many images belong in more than one folder.
Is there like a way to use keywords to sort them instead?
Yes.
>>53325479
Try Shotwell or F-Spot.
If you're not using Linux then /g/et out.
