This really belongs in sqt.
These are the most loved languages on Stack Overflow
They literally fell for the Rust meme
B-but /g/ said you should learn Java and C++ to get a job
>>53545111
What the fuck.
> take out low-level useful things like pointers
> add functional programming memes to make you feel smart
a useless meme language
I asked this on 8ch /tech/ but people sperged out at the idea of even having a conversation, so trying here:
I'm not convinced that iPhone is actually more botnet than android.
> 98.1% of al mobile malware targets Android accoding to Kaspersky [1] (yes, I know there's probably less malware on F-Droid, but this shows how poor Android's app sandboxing is)
> iPhones have encryption just like Android. Apple doesn't support backdoors as shown in the current case involving Apple and the FBIComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Apple makes money off overpriced hardware
Google makes money selling your data.
Apple > Google
If you use apple products it literally means you support degenerates and homosexuals.
>>53564237
Basically this
Apple bundles and subsidizes software to make it's overpriced hardware more appealing. Often selling viable alternatives at a price the competition can't even think about.
On the flip side, Google has only recently entered the hardware market. They make all their money off skimming your gmail and other google accounts and targeting ads at you.
Has college taken the passion out of Computer Science for you yet?
>>53562686
not really Lain. Then again I'm not doing a computer science course. It's just one of the subjects.
Has dealing with a team of neckbeards ruined the passion of developing services for you yet?
>>53562686
yes, CE killed my will to do anything productive on the computer and makes me wanna kill myself
>>53562686

Is it normal for GPU temps to rise 3-4 degrees when in closed case instead of open?
Reminder that the top fan mounts can be used for intakes if you got sone garbage flow like OP does.
>>53544384
you should close unecessary vents with tape and only opt for a front to rear fan setup.
Op here. I have nzxt s340 and 4 fans - 2 stock and 2 bequiet 140mm in front, so pretty standard setup
But without side panels and no fans my gpu runs 3-4c cooler. Wat do?
Hey /g/, laptop pleb here moving to desktop. What do you recommend for a GPU that can comfortably run dual monitors at 1080p? (not for gayming and Intel build)
>>53544342
370 or a 950 I'm guessing
A 750ti should be fine.
>not for gaming
The internal GPU on Intel chips will do fine
Hey /g/, i wanna make my own language. Can you point me in the right direction?
school
>>53544244
As in for fun or a real one? Because you can't make a real one, Anon.
>>53544431
Just for fun really. Or a scripting language really.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experienceâ„¢
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", lightweight

>Dropped hdd onto mobo, dented this aluminum block.
How sensitive are mobos? Did I just fuck mine? What does this block do anyway?
>>53543949
it's just a fucking heatsink
You most likely did nothing .
Of all the things to damage on the mobo that is the least sensitive to damage .
>>53543965
Oh shit you're right. At a quick panicked glance it looked like some sort of casing.
Now I'm more worried about my hdd.
Leaked info confirms iPhone 7 drops 3.5mm headphone jack.

It's the reason the big bosses finally dished out the money needed for a good backup system. We fought for 2 years but when we had to tell them we lost years worth of customer information at one of our branches because of the lack of a proper backup system they finally saw the light.
>>53543104
I heard some police service had to do the same. Maybe it'll wake people the fuck up about security.
