You can only choose one.
>accidentally press Windows Key + Alt
what the FUCK
/g/ should love this thing. It has great battery life, an amazing screen, an OK keyboard and touchpad, and has a fucking quad core i7 and a 970m in a "Razer" thin package.
The only problem I see with it is the Logo on the front, which can be easily covered up.
theirs tones of pcs like this, this just has a premium tag on it and is targeted at gamers.
Anyone that requires actual power will get a workstation laptop, the only people who this services is gamers, and 970m =/= 970
It literally makes no sense to make screen 16:9 on anything smaller than 14", and Macbooks and Surfaces are the only ones who are not following that stupid trend.
The worst offender has to be lenovo thinkpads - they make "business" laptops, but they cripple productivity with 16:9 screen and they are no good for entertainment because of shitty speakers and display panel quality.
What's even worse about Thinkpads are that their bezels look like they're made to accomodate 16:10 panels but they stick in 16:9 panels anyway because you tryhard "professionals" will buy anything we shit out!
>The worst offender has to be lenovo thinkpads - they make "business" laptops, but they cripple productivity with 16:9 screen
I now have to lug around a fucking 14" behemoth (which is actually an even worse 15" behemoth, because the top and bottom bezels are sized as such that the whole lid is a 16:10 lid), in order to get the same screen space I had on my 12" 4:3 Ultraportable. And in order to keep that fucking giant portable, I had to get an ultrabook, which means decreased robustness, less ports, a worse keyboard and a much higher price.
Seriously, the current laptop landscape is not about finding the best one for your use case, its about finding the least shitty option.
Like choosing between dogshit and cattle shit to step into. I chose cattle, because it smells less bad and is a bit easier to clean of than dog shit, but there is not way around it, I am still going to have to step into shit.
>and they are no good for entertainment because of shitty speakers and display panel quality.
I do have to say, the X1 has some quite nice speakers for its size, but I would gladly go back to the shitty mono speaker on the X61, if I could get a proper screen in exchange for my second spekaer.
TPs have always had shitty displays, that's a thing about Lelnovo (and why I don't buy from them)
The main reason people buy TPs is that you can replace pretty much everything and do all the repairs on your own for pretty cheap so they can last way longer than an average notebook
I'd love a laptop with a 3:2 display though, shits all over 16:10
all this fucking 4X 8X HBM2 Superfast memory shit when actuality my fucking gta5 will be running only ~12fps better. WTF IS THIS SHIT NVIDIA? we seriously need a company to ONLY and only do GPUs for gamers, then those fucks will see who gets more sales. fuck.
You know that nvidia's entire revenue is based on a marketing scheme that has gotten gamers to think nvidia cards are faster due to paid techblogger shills, right?
I think we would all be surprised if nvidia even exists 2 years from now. Then again, with schmucks like you in the world maybe they'll still have a huge market share, who knows.
Fuck how fast it runs all i want is more vram on cards and more affordable ram.
8GB is NOT enough hopefully once it catches up to 16 32 64 etc on a single card
4K RotTR is like 10gb+
How much did you spend on your PC build, /g/? Is this build any good?
>Firecucks on a suicide watch
I'm surprised safari is only 5% seeing as how many people use it, shouldn't it be at the same rate as IE?

Giant homescreen thread
somepeople use homescreens on gigantic phones, like those ones with fold out keyboards
you can get it pretty close to linux if you really try
>he uses a case for his phone
>he wants to make his phone thick and unergonomic
>he wants to ruin the hours spend into designing his phone
>he cares about what other people do with their phones
How do I git gud with i3? Do you guys use layouts and stuff?
Yeah, my problem is I just feel flustered with 10 workspaces spread over 2 monitors. I don't know if it would be better with XFCE.
The majority of my windows are browsers/terminals.
