What is an appropriate amount to spend on your first PC build?
It really doesn't matter if it's your first or fifth, it solely matters what you want to do with it.
If you want a Core i7-6700 machine with 16GB of RAM and a 960 GTX video card, expect to spend right under $1k USD. But also be aware, prices on computer components are generally cheapest in the U.S., elsewhere there can be some astonishing differences.
$4000
In canada, its about 1200 canadian pasos for a standard gaming build, not including monitor, keyboard and mouse

When can you say that you /know/ a programming language?

I like that it's made out of wood.
I don't like the type of wood. Mahogany would have been a more sturdier choice. Not to mention it could withstand higher temperatures.

GTK3. For source example look at the game called Gweled.
Qt and C++ gets you everywhere
Take a look at Godot engine.

Hi everyone, so a friend of mine on facebook just sent me this and then deactivated her account.
She's a tech enthusiast so I'm guessing this was some code for me decipher.
Can you guys help me out?
for me to decipher*
>>54373886
Easy one. Trace the stack of the given array and you'll get a 4 digit code. You'll probably want to do this in lambda IDE if you wanna do it fast.
I'm in the mainframe, you're going to have to give me some more time and I'll crack the central server.

Is TrueCrypt still the best encryption software for windows, even though development stopped in 2014?
What does /g/ use?
>>54373749
VeraCrypt is much better. It has all known TC issues fixed + uses PIM as additional security.
For protecting yourself from data theft in case of device loss you can just use BitLocker and FDE provided by your SSD producer

Thanks!
The backdoor is in Windows anyway. Enjoy your false security. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
